Does the price given change every week, or stay the same?

Stays the same  Wink So yes, you can sell a small percentage back for BTC and re-buy at base price of 0.001 to increase your holdings. This depletes the money supply faster and drives real coin price up higher and faster.

Also, doesn't the fact that sellers will compete to have their coins be the ones that are bought back mean the exchange price will get dragged down to the price they bought at, or, if people get desperate, even lower?

If they get desperate, there are orders on market to accommodate dumps.
No single person holds enough to push the price down, the amount being bought in BTC is known, so even if somebody puts 4000 up for sale at 2% gain, the next best order may be 1 coin for 5 BTC and it'll get fully bought too.
Will be interesting to see how people play it, and if approaches change each week.

EDIT: What time and date is the weekly buy back going to happen?

Over the weekend, no specific time so as to give nobody an advantage, it'll be obvious when it happens.

Great questions, thanks!

antonioneto:
sorry, no coin's to burn, and by giving them away I'd effectively be giving you fellow traders bitcoin.

I just want to know how to mine in a pool or solo, please Smiley
Just read carefully main post

I'm sorry, but I read 3 times now and got no answer Sad
Please help me out...

the coin has 0 (zero) block reward and all fees are destroyed. you can mine the chain and support the network by adding "gen=1" to your insanitycoin.conf or running insanitycoind in the usual way and hooking up a miner to the rpc port (55445)

this is a coin for traders and investors, not miners.

someone get 989498.00000001 in block 1351

http://5.9.111.71:2750/block/f660e10b223c0f9dfd3ffa0b3c7c6bc81e23e4866151287e75fd5f971eb8fda7

Somebody bought 5000 for 5 BTC, 500 were destroyed as a tx fee, and the remainder is the coin supply going back to a change address. (still available for purchase).

honestly, if somebody buys 890 BTC worth in one go they'd definitely be the most insane by far.

mining: please do mine to support the network, be aware there is no block reward, and no tx fees to claim though. Coin supply only decreases. and do read the ann so you know what this coin is.

any questions not covered in the ann will gladly be answered.

windows-qt error:
This affects widows vista & 7, wallet crashes on first run, then produces an error code on exit. It's a known issue in github and being worked on. Client still works as expected, and no error produced on w8.
Feel free to use, or wait for a new compilation for <=w7.

SeriousCoins14:
Any time and think it through properly, if you get a good strategy opt in and buy a few or a load at any time whilst the supply is there, no rush Smiley

btc4ever / coin destruction
coin's are removed from circulation similar to how they are created, transaction fee's are an output with a zero amount, that is there is no coin to claim.
e.g. http://5.9.111.71:2750/rawtx/f90a65c40cfdd1a4485a53558fa61592b76b6fda5f997b7c710d411688f4f865
you'll notice "Outstanding" reduces with each transaction: http://5.9.111.71:2750/chain/InsanityCoin?count=100&hi=1391
no trickery, feel free to mine some block's till you get one with a transaction and check yourself, put the blockchain through your own or public domain tooling, and verify.

I looked at this link, but I don't see anything that tells me these coins have obviously been destroyed. How exactly do we know the coins have been destroyed?
