I found that staking works pretty good if I send myself the coins from the wallet, to the same wallet
Meaning, I send all of the XCO in one shot, one payment to myself, from the wallet back into the wallet.
You don't need two wallets etc.  I have about 70k XCO and I get all 40.0 payouts

When the 70k I sent to myself starts staking I get 40.0 XCO like 3-4 times

After the 3-4 payments of 40.0 XCO come in, it will go to .001 payments, which none of us find very worthy of our time.
I simply repeat the process at this point.  (Resend the XCO to your wallet)

Using this system I have got mostly all 40.0 XCO payments.

I thought some of you may like to know as I found this to be the best system to stake higher payouts.

I can increase the block reward to 10000000000 coins per block with a hard fork
would you want to stake then Roll Eyes

seriously though what if we change the reward for staking to 20000 coins per block or something.

How about this can you make a faucet? The network will not make blocks solely with staking. No need for any forks or anything of that sort yet. We need something to make transactions.

Passive faucets will cost pennies. You should set them up to send to a random wallet every 25-35 seconds. Problem not solved but the network will at least properly function.

Point is no block can be generated until txfee is generated. So a transaction has to be made for every staked block.
well, if this is the reason, then no wonder things are not working. A quick workaround: set up two wallets with say 2000XCO of funds each sending each other 1XCO every 60 seconds. that would keep the network alive.

Point is dev appears to be in denial about this.

The reward is not the issue. More people will buy, hold, stake and not keep coins on exchange, day trade, sell once they see that you are legit i.e. demonstrate some long term commitment to the coin by developing publishing roadmap. The longer you delay this the more doubt will lead to coins being dumped, ending up in the hands of whales, the less even the distribution will be and less staking will occur.

At the moment 15 of top 30 wallets staking, minimum transactions on the block chain and yet economy is not able to run efficiently because of specifics of POS?  Also, you are not only asking people to stake, but to go through the convoluted process of regularly splitting their inputs? Also, I am not a code guy, but people have been suggesting since the beginning that there appears to be a correlation between transaction velocity and block generation with this coin, and the latest issues seem to empirically back that up.

Lots of coins wait months to arrive Bittrex, some never achieve it.  You have the backing of a community already, one member built are website, another is building faucet for this coin, and 10 people are waiting in Slack channel to discuss, an opportunity is being missed here. Let's move forward.

there is no point in that. Other coins do have reasonable PoS rates (like the current one or even lower) and work.
So the rate of PoS is not the reason that people are not staking and the price was raped.
The reason is there are too few nodes supporting the network and may be it is possible to think about some fixed nodes running 24/7 to support the network at least for the next month or so.

I'm sorry for holders ;/

It's not broken. It's eaily fixable with a fork. But the dev needs to get on this... ASAP

There appears to be blockchain issues:

mister [2:04 AM]
dev logged in but of course ignored my PM

mister [2:04 AM]
people are bailing out and with good reason

mister [2:05 AM]
I can't post on the forums right now but If i could i would

mister [2:06 AM]
bring some attention about the chain

mister [2:06 AM]
get the dev to act

mister [2:06 AM]
price is irrelevant right now

mister [2:07 AM]
I will not try to move the chain as it only buys time

darkpill [2:10 AM]
el3ab needs to get on this

darkpill [2:11 AM]
no roadmap is one thing but iffy POS is another

mister [2:12 AM]
and it is not only the chain... needs a reason for people to be interested

mister [2:12 AM]
ah you had already said about the roadmap

darkpill [2:12 AM]
hope he doesn't blame it on not enough people staking because that would be a cop out

mister [2:12 AM]
it would. I counted

mister [2:13 AM]
15 wallets in the top 30

mister [2:13 AM]
ARE staking

mister [2:13 AM]
i don't think people not staking is an excuse anymore

Anyone elses' blockchain out of sync? Looking at the blockchaintree site is showing the block chain has stopped.

Seems to of finally resynced. Wierd.

When there isn't transactions the blocks will stop for those that are new it's something to remember.
