The PMs Coralreefer and EK receive belittling and insulting their work most probably comes from the competition. Please ignore them as annoying as they are.
As per Bounty, I still strongly recommend to open a foundation ( or any word you like to use it) . This is my suggestion:
People with 50,000 XEL or less to contribute 3%
People with 50K to 500K ......... 5%
People above 500K ........... 10%

The fund will help pay incentives to the devs, PR, .......

Good suggestion. I'm willing to donate to foundation, once we're liquid, but at a rate of my choosing.

What I propose is the following:

1. Setup a foundation, which will have a receiving address.
2. Have a signature from participants with their private key, as to what amount they pledge to donate to the foundation.
3. At launch - that amount is instantly transferred in the genesis.

This will also be a good motivation for the team, as it will mean rewards for everyone.

Not sure how fast a foundation can be created. From what I hear Switzerland is best from jurisdiction perspective.

The ICO funds can be used for bounties I believe. Also does anyone know the ETA for mainnet launch? Maybe an estimated month. Thanks.

By the way, I hope coralreefer is still here and follows this thread. He is seriously the brightest and most intelligent person I have met so far. I am nothing compared to him. Maybe he want to take a look at the whole thing, when we think we have sorted out everything. I am sure that IF someone is capable to find deeply hidden bugs, it's him!

EK, thank you for the kind words....I am just a code monkey like you...we have different, but complimentary skill sets....but I agree together we make a great team.  You know I like to work on challenging problems so please feel free to PM me with some details and I'd be happy to take a look...Hopefully, I can help out.

But, as I've mentioned before,  I received several PM's, etc that accused me that because I built the miner "for fun" that I was misleading people and had access to the ICO funds, which I found quite insulting...I have never attempted to mislead anyone about my intentions here...everything coded to date was because I found it enjoyable and did it because I believed in the project....I do not have any access to the ICO funds!

So going forward, (to put these critics to rest and because this project has drug on so long), I won't be doing any future serious coding/enhancements on XEL without a bounty tied to it.

Pretty sure he's talking about golem(GNT).

We will never know ;-)

Well, "knowing" is such a big word… Go ask theoretical physicists what they "know" Wink

Save that ammo for when they go live Wink

I think I will take a free weekend and dedicate it to write everything down for them. Fair play ;-)
But I wish I had some coins to go short bazooka-style ... unfortunately I don't. All I have is some precious elastics  Wink

Wow, I thought I was clued in but I can't figure out what network you're talking about. Something ETH based?

I have bags to lend, if you want to go short on greater understanding of technological weakness. That is a legitimate play.

… I am the guy explaining the joke right now, aren't I.

So that's why I had trouble with passing block 1565. As always @EK, you are genius.

I am just a work horse spending every free second programming. The real geniuses are those, who understand systems that they have not created themselves so well, that they can handcraft a transaction, that totally cripples the entire network ;-)

... except for one other coin that is currently being developed :-) There, I could handcraft a number of things that result in an immediate shutdown  Grin

I am at the last nasty bug that was detected on the 1.0.1 testnet.
Block 1566 contains a transaction that was detected valid when it was broadcasted. Then, after it was retreived from the DB (when other now clients sync) it has a bad signature.

I think I know the reason, but anyone who helps analyzing this cause would help a lot.
I am planning to have it fixed out by tomorrow so we can finally go into testnet 1.0.2.

I know all this testing is a pain in the ass, but this crippled transaction once again showed that it's important to test everything even if the holiday has to be deferred and the sunny days spent in front of 5 monitors running one test case after the other.

BTW: Thanks to the anonymous fella who created the crippled transaction in block 1566. This is exactly what we need.

Green and orange one is bad, you need one darker color at least. You can't do both light colors. Right one has nice. Theme

EDIT: revised colors a bit according to constructive feedback below. Though anyway, I'm not a designer obviously, so guys take it easy and concentrate on serious tech and market discussions, they look so much smarter...

Off topic, but what are those new currency symbols under everyone's name? I don't even hold Lite Coin nor Ion, how did that just show up?

You mean you aren't actually an "ION Appologist"  Cheesy

I think it's just an April fools joke by the admins.

i am astonished to see ION, a paycoin sockpuppet is shown as badge.
