How is the ico going, how much so far, when does it end?

Too lazy to do an extra click? Go to the main page and see it right there. Seriously, why even ask this question when the link is in the main freaking page Smiley

Is it possible to have the ico deposit refunded?

Let me know

kind regards

First of all, thank you very much for your generosity and your trust. However, after a donation has been made, no refunds are possible. This is explained and highlighted on the website multiple times. Maybe you are able to sell your ELC to someone else for an amount matching your donation?

Please understand, that I have to be able to rely on Elastic's budget to ensure that resources are committed to meeting the goals that we all have. This is not possible if I have to expect an unknown number of refunds in the future.

Hi Lannister, I've donated over 2.5 BTC to this project already, but my first 0.5 BTC went through my exchange. Could you please refund that and I'll redoposit with my Coinpurse wallet.
Thanks

nice try buddy
What a shame that no one trusts anyone , which is very understandable. I have screen shots of all my transactions . My first contribution was from my Exchange account. Even after I found out about my mistake of sending it via Exchange, I continued my support ( of course by my private wallet) for this project. I think it's an interesting project and I will continue supporting it.

I've gone ahead and chipped in a little BTC.  Very ambitious project, so who knows if it can be achieved, but if no one tries we'll never know  Smiley

so what is the difference between elastic and novacoin (the source based on NVC)?
I really like the idea of elastic, but how will you change the source to reach the goal of the decentralized supercomputer?

Actually Novacoin has 0.00% in common with Elastic Project.

We are not changing Novocain's source at all and I thought this should have become clear in the last status updates. In fact we do something entirely different.
What we have right now is a mini-blockchain based blockchain that is prunable (by design), that scales very well, and that works using a proof-of-stake scheme (this has not been created by anyone before) to ensure the blockchain security (see the faster algorithm attack for why we do it). Taking this as the basis we are implementing the verifiable computation part which is required for the decentralized computer resource market where people can earn coins for contributing calculation power.

A few pages back there was a detailed status report.

Thanks for the answer. This is a good inovation

one question as an investor; what stops the hashrate from being used for malicious acts?

Could you define malicious more precisely?

If malicious is "an evil piece of software that tries to steal or tamper with data on your computer" then I can assure you that this will be impossible. IO, Network communication, and a few more things should be disallowed. Everything else should be performed sandboxed to prevent messing around with other processes / the main memory / ...

However, if malicious is "a morally unacceptable task" then I am afraid we cannot do anything about it. Personally, I don't think that we have to think about having to be morally perfect at all in the general case. Everyone is free to chose what work he will work on, and (even if the main client does not support it) when someone has the desire to check work packages for their moral correctness before working on them, then he can do so whenever he wants. The standard case, of course, does not do any moral judgement.

Can I send btc through my Trezor wallet?

Theoretically yes, I am sure there are a few tools that help you getting the private key from your Trezor mnemonic, but even if doable this will be pretty "hacky".
I think its best to send to an address of which you know the private key first and then, from there, donate. This makes the process a lot easier for you.

thanks for the quick answer

But why the amount of BTC decreases? If this morning there were at least 129BTC invested, how is it possible that now it shows 123BTC?

Because long time ago there were some refunds (back when the terms changed and everyone was allowed to withdraw, i think) but their donations were still recorded in the genesis block.
I think that Lannister removed them finally. If you do not feel comfortable, please go ahead and check every entry by yourself: the blockchain is publicly visible.  Wink
