Stellar Foundation to airdrop $121M in XLM tokens to users of ‘Slack-alternative’ chat app Keybase
Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), the non-profit organization behind the Stellar blockchain network, has set the stage for yet another sizable airdrop, according to an announcement Monday.

This time, the organization is giving away 2 billion Stellar lumens (XLM) tokens, currently worth nearly $121 million, to users of Keybase, an encrypted “alternative to Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other chat apps.” One XLM is currently priced at $0.061230. The airdrop follows a similar partnership between the SDF and crypto wallet provider Blockchain in the past, as well as with Coinbase Earn.

Billions of coins are given to users for marketing only. This bubble will burst soon.
i don't understand the billions of coins are given to users for marketing right? then how the price will go up and what are the team is trying to do for stabling the price of per coin because free coins for users means selling and value down but alot of people saying that this is good move by the team.
surly the bubble will burst soon and many holder will sell because of free coins given to random users

that great each member receive more then 19$ to keybase users. and it will go on next 20 months.
does it effect on the stellar price? in last 24 hours XLM price increase about 11%. other top cryptos are also going up slowly. i am very positive about stellar platform.

Yes... I expect a lot of coins given to KeyBase users will be sold... putting downward pressure on the price. (More sellers than buyers).

it means the price should go down in the coming days and then there will be good opportunity to buy  more at cheap price. for now just wait and keep an eye on stellar price. 0.06$ is good price to buy. if the price goes down

The 2B Lumen Keybase Space Drop

''Today we’re excited to announce we’ve partnered with Keybase for our largest airdrop ever.

They’re giving away up to 2B XLM over the next 20 months (100M XLM each month) to Keybase users. All you have to do is have an authenticated Keybase account, and your XLM will appear in your wallet — automatically, every month, for as long as the airdrop continues¹. ''

Is there automated airdrop service to reach stellar users, and can messages be included like it can on Waves dex?

I will move this project from Waves to Stellar possibly in December.

Waves also has an asset like this:

http://dev.pywaves.org/assets/BS1KFNR8zrXKBEWdUUvpaP6G57Hic3aESkwK7qQKdLpB

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_7EZO-70pH5E1PrYyKvwx_5ZwWwYoT-NsHSSADRmBqQ/edit#gid=0

It contains highly detailed information on coins, does this exist on Stellar?

Is the above message from Stellar?

This is a SCAM. They are using a phishing domain where the 's' from stellar.org is replaced by 'ś' if you pay close attention.

Also the e-mail has a random FROM address. Unfortunately I also received it, three times. Somehow an e-mail database must have leaked.

Be careful, do not fall for it! No legitimate campaign will ask you for private keys or any upfront deposit.

Agreed with you this is phishing email which always required to give access to sensitive information like private key. We must be careful and act responsible when we get such email for airdrop there are so many ways to make verify whether it is legit or not.

Got an email a couple of days back about some 3rd distribution of Stellar lumens?

I assumed that they weren't distributing the lumens anymore, unless you were a Blockchain.com member and did KYC?

I remember a few years back I had to sign a message to prove my BTC holdings and I got a decent amount of Lumens. I think I did this for 2 distributions. This was years ago. I assumed there wouldn't be anymore.

Any idea if the 3rd distribution is legit or some scam email?

It's better to be careful with that email, if it is proven that it's really an official email from Stellar you should find out in the article, Stellar's official social media.
Always check if the email is official or not and be carefully scammers
and also check their social media or stellar forums to get the latest updates about Stellar
