We are the ones we've been waiting for
This topic is actually about Myriad coin!

Myraid coin is digibyte without the marketing of Jared. You need to market the coin better and your achievements or bigger coins like digibyte will keep stepping all over your work. Peace!

Still, MYR has managed to keep the 30's while dgb in the same time span  lost about 1/3 of its value.

I'd be interested to know what your "radical" changes may be?

Actually, I have some thoughts but I don't have any actionable proposals. Based on prior experience, any changes to inflation / block reward / halving have no impact on price. This is why I believe there is room for even more drastic changes.

I see some price movement is anything happening that I am not finding?

Big update, but when exactly?

I think if you want to get technical about it, Huntercoin was the first coin with multiple PoW algorithms, using both sha and scrypt to secure the network in addition to their (very unique) "human mining" MMO game. Myriad was definitely first after Huntercoin, and expanded the concept to five algos, and Saffroncoin was first to copy, afaik.

Interesting, I new of HUC's "human mining" but I guess I hadn't realized the Multi POW was also there... Thanks for the history lesson Smiley

You can also look at it this way: rather invest in a coin/dev that come up with the new idea, rather than one of the dozens of coins that copy the idea.

You didn't come up with the Multi Pow idea though, well not according to the digibyte announcement page. I don't see myraid coin mentioned once so as a new user I will just assume it was the digibyte devs who invented Multi Pow.

Security: 5 DigiByte mining algorithms vs. 1 Bitcoin algorithm.
DigiByte mining is much more decentralized.
DigiByte mining algorithms can be changed out in the future to prevent centralization.

September 1st, 2014: MultiAlgo hardfork at block 145,000. DigiByte plans & successfully deploys its second hardfork to allow miners to mine on five independent mining algorithms & is the first digital currency to make such a move.

Interesting... I guess they mean 1st to copy Myriad? Smiley Actually, IIRC, wasn't it Safroncoin that was the 1st to copy Myriad?

Edit: I think I see what they mean, the first existing single POW chain to move to multi POW... That's how I take it I guess...

No. I certainly didn't convert DigiByte to multi-pow. I've chatted with Jared on IRC. He's a nice guy. He offered me work but I've never had time.

I have to ask these serious questions because I need to know what makes myraid coin any different from digibyte? Digibyte also has 250k investment that can pay MentalCollatz good money to sort out the problems Multi PoW faces so it might make it worth your while to get a job with digibyte and let Jared pay you well for your skills and who will know because all you developers are anonymous . MentalCollatz and you could be the same person. You just don't know these things and that is the beauty of being an anonymous developer and the reason I won't invest in a coin where there isn't accountability. With DGB you have accountability with Jared and they get your tech after it has been tested on myraid coin. So as a investor why should I risk it with myraid coin?

Digibyte also had a premine.... All these projects are open source and anyone can submit a pull request. Accountability doesn't come from some fund, it's easy to fund poor devs. Take a look at the code and ideas submitted and judge them that way.

This is true, but you also need to develop a coin to make it attractive for investors and for ordinary users, and to a lesser extent miners as it is usually the initial stage of the coin.

All I am saying  is if you want to invest in myriadcoin then just buy digibyte.

is there any competitive advantage to digibyte? i see none.

the only reason to buy digibyte is to support the price and help existing bagholders. At least myriad is cheap and easy to mine.

Yes, they have the myraid coin devs in their pocket and they have a bit of marketing even if it is only about 50 people that hold 100s of millions of coins each. MentalCollatz and 8bitcoder are officially digibyte developers using this coin as a testnet for changes they need to make to digibyte. Take the risk here and if no bugs goes to the main coin.
It is all speculation and conjecture, there is at least one more proof?

He's trolling.

So you never worked for digibyte?

both coins have the same issues, despite digibyte appearing to have professional management / leadership. I am quite happy I managed to exit my positions in digibyte at no loss.

the huge inflation is destroying these coins; the technical inovations are cute, but not enough. Personally, I support the changes so that myriad may have the slightest chance to increase / maintain its value.

However, I believe the changes proposed are not radical enough.

I'd be interested to know what your "radical" changes may be?

I'm in no way an official DigiByte developer.  I just happen to submit a pull request every now and then.  When I first encountered the coin their difficulty adjustment algorithm was extremely flawed, so I came up with something better and submitted it.  Then I noticed the work algorithm was extremely flawed, so I came up with something better and submitted it.  I've offered my help to Myriad a few times as well, but I find Jared (DigiByteDev) to be more open to suggestions than the Myriad team.

Furthermore, the notion that I use Myriad as a testnet for DigiByte is just ludicrous.  My anti-timewarp algorithm was added DigiByte long before Myriad.

Yes but the fact still remains is the same devs are working on both coins, not committed to one coin so anyone new coming here just click on either of the below links to buy myraid coin.

As I said earlier decision that the developers took the coin, increase the value of the coins on the market.
