For new comers it is always easy to adopt the re-branded version of any coin. These are existed members who face confusion and even after more than half a year since these changes appeared but even today this title of this thread isn't updated. I was reading people talking about buying signals and first of them was when Charlie Lee mentioned it as one of the highly potential for the year.

I didn't follow this coin so maybe the question sounds a bit stupid:
Why was it renamed to Nano? Was there a specific reason or some incident?
(Nano sounds very generic to me, like naming it Dollar.)

That was the developer's decision and what they say about rebranding is : "The Core Team wanted a name that represented the simplicity and speed of the project, and Nano does just that." I can not say that Nano is better or worst from RaiBlocks, but it is certainly created confusion to some users and some of them are not even sure is this same coin or is it use same wallet. Good news for Ledger Nano S hardware wallet users , one of the Nano Developer is finished application and now is only up to Ledger team to add this app to their store. This will be great move, first light and secure wallet for Nano
Nano is very suitable name for this project so that I also think current is more attractive than previous one. Now they are working with great momentum and this project is more strong than before and I hope it will back into more better position in future.

For Nano i think there is a huge possibility to increase above the highest price. But we need a good news that can make this possibility to come true, maybe about partnership with big e-commerce or another project can make this coin start to increase again

The possible sharp price decline is cause partially by bagholder of 1m+ that is dumping everyday significant amount.

Although distribution from faucet is already over but you still have huge opportunity to buy Nano coin at a low price like the current price about $4. Because the highest price of this coin was $32 and i am sure if there is a good news, Nano has possibility to back to the highest price
Nano will bring lots of innovative stuff to its supporters, including fast transaction speeds, privacy, freedom, and potential to see its possible rises in the future. Currently, its price has stayed around 4$, still decent for investors.

yes it also confuses mebecause there is no transaction fee for any nano transactions and also no rewards to run nodes, I'm curious how nano developers get people interested in running nodes

On 17th October, the devs announced that they're keeping 7 million XRB (now known as NANO) for further future developments, and burning rest of the coins. Those 7 million NANO are now being utilized for further development of the coin.

Still has issues. You don't know if it's syncing or not. Transactions has no date or time stamp or more info. And the wallet does not close properly, maybe its my machine, I dunno. But I'm sure it will get ironed out.
