The only huge problem that the team has still to solve is to make this node-stuff an easy and friendly process which everybody can easily setup and not just something for nerds. For example, I could not setup a node on my Windows based PC. I guess, I am not the only one.

I think the priority for nodes is to make sure the system is secure, which based on the number of nodes, it probably is. If windows is deemed less secure than linux, or too difficult for the system to deal with two operating systems, then we probably won't see user-friendly nodes on windows make an appearance.

I actually haven't been able to find any coins that do nodes through windows. It possibly doesn't exist and not sure zencash will look into it separately.

I dont see them using that much of the developers time to make it work easy on Windows. And if you have to invest time in getting it up and running it is more likely the node will stay on for a longer time.
It is all about security and performance of the network! Windows platform can't compete in this field, and if not done properly it can possible endanger network and node owner. Window is not known as secure system anyway so for it won't find a place in most secure network.

Mining Decentralization

Quote
We value decentralization and our GPU miners who are an integral part of the community.  Changing algorithms is an extremely complex activity and we are not going to rush into a decision that may compromise the safety or integrity of the Zen network. It’s important that we take time to conduct research and evaluate options to properly formulate a plan.

ZENCASH do many things that it already exists on other crypto. I don't see much new. As the decentralized uPort blockchain application for data and identity. Or like the decentralized Woleet blockchain application for folders, which also installs in the LEDGER to confirm the identity of folders. As cryptonote that already make encrypted messages under payment by their token.
And I see all the blockchain sites that proclaim themselves the best anonymous. We know the publicity, we need to soften the sentences. There's nothing to celebrate.
ZenCash is collection of products and services..We are not focused only on private transactions..

ZenCash have 10k Secure Nodes online and most decentralized and resilient network and this is fact. Those are not ordinary nodes. They have specific hardware and security requirements. All comunication between nodes, wallet and nodes is crypted.

Super Nodes will encircle this story :

The two major improvements Super Nodes bring are to transition tracking and payments on-chain, or within protocol, a major change from the current system where such functions are executed on external server clusters; and the introduction of sidechaining elevates the ZenCash system from a pure cryptocurrency to a platform on which an unbounded set of services can be built. The value proposition of the system then becomes more than the utility of the currency, but now includes the utility of all future services that will be layered onto our infrastructure. A small sampling of such services which are already in planning include a distributed file storage system (ZenPub), a secure messaging system (ZenChat), a computation-for-rent system akin to AWS’s Lambda Functions (ZenGrid), zero-delay payments (InstantZen), and a decentralized exchange (ZenXchange) with a fully-collateralized price-stable asset called ZenUSD (USDZ).

OK I am impressed. I have been a fan of Zen for a while now, but this upcoming transformation is really mind boggling, I have to say. Is there any infos of the time all this transformation will need?

yeah the whole supernode thing will be game changing for crypto as a whole!

I too have some problems since https://luckpool.org/ changes domain name and server, I have for the moment in the clouds waiting.

luckpool sucks; zhash.pro sucks less; suprnova sucks the least.

As you might infer, none of these are a ringing endorsement.

Suprnove is as good as a pool gets in my opinion. The owner is active here, and for me suprnova have been the most stable pool.
Also like the apps for it to monitor your earnings.

Each exchange is in a geographical area. Cryptopia is in Africa.
But, a lot of fraud, false identities. Which means you can lose all your crypto if the FBI decides to close it for investigation.
Also cryptopia not long ago they retained cryptos that could not be recovered because they lacked liquidity to accept. Which is very bad.
On the other hand I am actor of a new blockchain with exchange and platform which will replace MT4. And PRT. And this will be regular and will be the exchange of all broker more and more. Better to be in a regular exchange.
The Koreans don't go on cryptopia, but on their own exchange from Korea.

No, Cryptopia is in New Zealand.
If you are actor of a new blockchain with exchange and platform - you can tell more about it here, as well as about process how ZenCash can be listed on that platform.
I know Koreans are doing well in crypto world, but it's not the only active nation)
From Korean exchanges I used Kucoin, actually I like it.
May be from the term of usability I like it even more than Bittrex or Cryptopia, but in this particular case - if ZenCash is not on KuCoin - that's not a problem for me, as I have other places to buy/sell it.

without doubt anonymity is a boon for all foreign exchange traders, I'm more interested in how they react to the anonymity of the countries that are fighting with blokchain precisely for this reason, in a number of countries you will not be allowed to exist

But if talking to the current circumstances, anonymity is very difficult, most of the exchange has implemented verification ID so that traders can do trading activities.
ZenCash is  listed on OpenLedger DEX, the world’s most advanced and secure  decentralized cryptocurrency exchange built on the BitShares platform.

Is Zencash going to fork the Bitmain Z9 ASIC? Seems like the right thing to do. Well done Monero!
ASIC is not flexible equipment, so let's do forks and kill them.
I don't want to offend ASIC miners, but honestly those such of specific-designed equipment create huge potential for 51% replay attacks due to potential dominant ASIC mining farms.
As we all know, replay attacks are the most terrible stuffs in crypto world.

Quote
This new miner is either an FPGA with on board RAM (quite likely) or a full blown ASIC with some kind of very fancy (and expensive) linked memory module.
If it's an FPGA we're dealing with, finding an algorithm that you couldn't just reprogram the FPGA to mine will be extremely difficult. If it's an ASIC, the task of creating some kind of incompatibility by modifying or switching algo's would obviously be considerably easier.

Problem is, we have no technical specs for the Z9 so we could potentially put a load of effort into something that would only take a few days to reconfigure the Z9 to mine...

So I think we should spend some time trying to figure out what we're actually up against before trying to formulate a plan.

This fork first time was introduced in our new white paper, back then this story about ASIC was not actuel. We have scheduled a fork for this purpose and we cannot delay this. As I said few posts before we don't have an official statement on this.

Spend ZenCash Wherever You Go With Paytomat!

ZenCash is now one of just 11 cryptocurrencies available for using on Paytomat.
Paytomat is a payment solution whose goal is to simplify the real-life usability of cryptocurrency at the ‘point-of-sale’ (POS), and e-commerce.  Their platform incentivizes the transactional use of cryptocurrency by rewarding merchants and customers with coins and tokens.  Paytomat is already deployed in over 150 merchants in Ukraine, and is expanding internationally.
