how large is the blockchain ? isn't there anyother way to have a wallet that i have it's private keys without downloading the entire blockchain ? as i understood from the github page this clients needs zencash setup first
Swing wallet needs Installation and contains full blockchain.

Blockchain is around 1.15GB and you can download very fast in about hour i think.
We have web based wallet http://myzenwallet.io/
You can use also mobile wallet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.zensystem.zencashwallet&hl=en
Also we have light version Arizen wallet. https://github.com/ZencashOfficial/arizen

Thx dude , here i'm mining zencash Cheesy

Zencash transactions is untraceable? I haven't found anything about.

Quote
ZenCash is a platform for secure communications and for deniable economic activity. It is an evolution of the Zcash codebase aimed at primarily enabling secure communications and resilient networking. As a platform it enables secure global messaging, persistent file storage, and private economic activity.

Zero-knowledge encryption allows for private economic activity where the recipient, sender, and amount of activity is kept confidential.

ZenCash extended Bitcoin with fully anonymous shielded transactions, so that users can
choose between normal Bitcoin-like addresses (t-addresses) or shielded addresses resistant
to traffic correlation analysis (z-addresses).

T transactions
T transactions are the traditional blockchain-recorded transactions controlled by a private
key in a wallet. These are derived from Bitcoin, and enable rapid compatibility with
exchanges, wallets, and other Bitcoin-derived ecosystem applications.

 Z transactions
These are transactions sent to shielded addresses, as inherited from Zcash and Zclassic.
Balances in shielded addresses are private. If spending to one or more shielded addresses,
the value stays private but any transparent addresses on the receiving end will deshield the
token and reveal the value received on the blockchain. The input shielded addresses and
whether the value was sent from one or two of these remains confidential when deshielded.
Thanks for describing it to me.
I'm supposed to say, ZenCash looks very promising. And obviously, zen will be popular over time.
Just glad I saw this thread.

What am I missing?
Thanks!
You need to install the OpenCL.dll

https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opencl-drivers

Many thinks that this is wasting of time, CPU is way behind GPU. Smiley

Thanks.

I know, it's just to try something.

Welto now supports ZEN!

Quote
Welto, an application which allows users to pay bills with cryptocurrency direct from their wallets by simply providing the payee info, account number and address has announced the module is now integrated with U.S. bitcoin exchange Coinbase and crypto gateway CoinPayments.

The partnership will allow Welto to support ZenCash payments through an integration of CoinPayments, a gateway system that eliminates the need to use an exchange to convert cryptocurrency to fiat currency.

Thank you I'll make some researches and probably I'll move my miners to this coin for a while
My personal estimation at least 1000 nodes will be at start, even more http://zennodes.network/.
Price for vps is between 2 and 5 dollars.

You can do your own math, how profitable can be.->

ZenCash Secure Node System Software Requirements Specification - Initial
Purpose:
Zen Nodes run the software that makes the ZenCash system work. Part of the ZenCash specification is to redirect 3.5% of the mining reward to the owners of ZenCash Secure Node which meet the requirements.

The purpose of funding secure nodes is not to reduce the amount of ZenCash available to the market with the intent of taking it out of circulation.

The purpose is to create a node network that is large enough and resilient enough to provide the foundation for a worldwide private communication and publishing system that is difficult to interrupt and gather data on.

The ideal would be 1000-5000 secure nodes, each running on a separate system, all over the world. The Zen Secure Node reward system has to be designed in a way that will prevent the operation of a large number of secure nodes on one server in one place.

The intent of this document is to create an overview specification for system that will enable Secure Node Tracking and Payment. The first level implementation is to get the basics of the system going so people can operate and be rewarded for running Secure Nodes. Over time the system can be improved to be more distributed, resilient, and automatic.

Each of the specific applications are intended to run on servers owned by the Zen Foundation, with operation. Each application will require a more specific software specification, as well as development.

implementing e2e encrypted network called "secure nodes" that we pay part of block rewards is like dash supernodes?
So if I hold a certain amount of coins I'll get a part of block reward?

Does it really cost 0.1 ZEN for 500 messages?

Private messaging capability

a. When sending a shielded transaction, a 512 Byte memo field is included in the transaction. This can be used to send a message within the transaction.
b. Message can be sent with a minimal cost transaction (0.0001 ZEN)
c. Whoever has the receiving private key on their wallet can view the memo

Wow! So lots of news in ZenCash community in passed days.
Now Zen looks more promissing then ever.
I'm planning to hold my zen far longer and even buy a little bit more, since it's rather cheap now because of BTC pump. Smiley
