What's Quirky In Life?
If you're on windows, it is best to install a virtual linux system. in this case, CentOS 7.
There's free virtual machine like Oracle VM Virtualbox.

Hit the below video to see how to build your first zencash wallet. Just follow what he do and you'll be rewarded eventually.

Is there a Windows version of Zen (Zend) like there is with ZCL?  If not,  can Zcashd and Zend run on the same Ubuntu machine (by using different ports)?

Right ... how has suprnova been holding up for the past 12h? I can see the pool's hashrate has skyrocketed. Last 20 blocks are reported fine. How about payments?

@ocminer - many thanks for your efforts! Would you consider 0% fee for a while given how many of us have lost payments on suprnova last night? Just a thought.

As I have understood it the Eth issue is just volume and super high transaction fees (called gas on Eth network.) As it catches up to bitcoin it seems to have the same exact problem. It is cool that Bittrex at least explained what is going on. They are my favorite exchange. They seem to do the least shady shit and communicate with users the best. They also tend to have all the coins that are worth a shit and not a lot of shitcoins. The only thing that sucks is I think zen is going to hit the market pretty close to when MGO does. I should hodl both anyway, I can't complain I suppose, lol. Go Zen!

How is the mining on suprnova, still having orphans or is it worked out now?

It's fine at the moment

Awesome, heading back to you guys now. Thank you

It's working fine at the moment but sometimes my pc reboots for some reason. I'm not very experienced. What could be the reason for this reboot? I'm mining with one Nvidia GTX 760.

Sounds like a power or driver issue. How does the card hold up during a benchmark test?

Was anyone able to get ZEN from an old ZCL wallet yet? Copying wallet.dat from eleos didn't work for me, neither did dumpprivkey / importprivkey to zen-cli.

Yes, I didn't have any issue, but I didn't copy my wallet.dat from Eleos, but from the Zclassic GUI wallet instead.  Should be the same process though.

I've tried compiling this in Debian 8.8.0, Ubuntu 16.04 and 17.04 - both Desktop and Server editions, to no avail.

I followed the guide with all the dependencies and all.
After almost giving up, I found this list of dependencies:

Code:
build-essential pkg-config libc6-dev m4 g++-multilib autoconf libtool ncurses-dev unzip git python zlib1g-dev wget bsdmainutils automake mingw-w64
which had mingw-w64. I also found
Code:
python-zmq
but I can't remember now if I installed it or not... worth a try.

Also, you might want to have at least 1.5GiB of swap space for the compilation process.

Now I have a wallet up and running, and am in the process of compiling the ZClassic one in order to get the blockchain downloaded, transfer it to ZenCash and successfully sync it.

Hope this helps!

Good catch! Mint probably has some libraries already installed that are not in Debian or Ubuntu. For me it always worked from a fresh Mint Cinnamon 18.1 install.

@tPTerFSe2yR818i: try installing those packages and if it doesn't work, you can pm me the pastebin of the errors. I don't have any ZClassic nodes but with their stable network it should sync without problems I imagine.

Thank you very much Pustul!,
I am going to follow this instrucctions.
I am going to comment when I finish to setup all.
