Just seen this on the Zencash blog page .
had issues with the OpenSSL implementation, which caused network transmission errors and prevented blocks from syncing. Disabling TSL for the time being did the trick to stabilize the network.

On miningspeed it says "It takes 120 confirmations before balance is shown!" I would have expected there were more than 120 confirmations since the first block I've been paid for (oldest one paid) ... my "Paid" value has been increasing, but the balance is still 0. Is there somewhere where I can check the number of remaining confirmations for the balance?

If you are getting enough (more than 0.1 ZEN) to get paid every block your balance will never increase because you get paid directly on your wallet. Balance is for when your earnings on the block is not enough to receive a payout, for example you get 0.01 ZEN every block, your balance will slowly go up and when you exceed 0.1 ZEN, you get paid Smiley

I got to ask the obvious. What is it about the miningspeed pool that has enabled it to be the only successful running pool and most the others end up with orphans?
Has there been a fork of the fork or something?

Back online but not quite.

Does anyone else have a borrowed wallet address and feels a bit tense about it?

MineZ.zone

Something crashed our zend and the fail over didn't kick in.
Naturally after a 17 hour day, this happened while we slept.

Things are back online now.
Thanks

On miningspeed there were only 5 paid blocks (though still to be cleared in balance), but the next 14 blocks say "SHIELDING" ... what's that? Anything to worry about? (I'm new to zen mining)

The problems are because this is not a simple hard fork, but a chain split.
Not just the blocksize is different, but the entire system. It has end to end encryption which the ZCL chain didn't support.

I could advise Devs one thing: Just take your time, don't feel pressure - if you need another month or three or even a year - please say that and everyone who understand capabilities of ZENCash will patiently wait.
And ignore trolls who couldn't wait to dump their Zens. I remeber XEM/NEM - it took 14 months to deploy coin.
Let this coin be truly community supported.

Dev Josh is active on slack and telegram.

I've read as follows:

The problems are because this is not a simple hard fork, but a chain split.
Not just the blocksize is different, but the entire system. It has end to end encryption which the ZCL chain didn't support.
Some bugs could not be identified until its release. But they said they'd fix it within the coming 200 blocks.

The only wallet available at launch was the self-compile linux version, because it takes time to write it for windows architecture, which also has to do with end to end encryption which is not easy to make to work in a Microsoft environment. It could only be made as the blockchain was running.
It was proposed that it would be ready within 2 days.

Bittrex told Dev Josh the market would be up and running either today or tomorrow, they had to wait for a stable flow of blocks to ensure faster confirmations for transactions.

This is from what I've read on telegram. Don't ask me specifics, I'm just passing this on.

where wallet zen download? web wallet? exchange&?

You can find the Linux wallet here: https://github.com/zencashio/zen

Bittrex has already listed ZEN but the wallet is still under maintenance.

Yeah you're right on the orphans, miningspeed seems to be the one getting confirmed blocks

All blocks found are orphan at Cryptobroker

Same pretty much everywhere else right now that allows you to create an account.

Only place I know is working is mining speed but good luck mining without a wallet address
