Does anybody know about the status of zetasteam.com (see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=283429.0)? This is the only developing zetacoin related service that I know of.

I would be interested in helping to develop other services if anyone has any good ideas.

ideas:

- ZET microlancer site (small jobs for ZET)
- zetabacker - people can post ideas and others can fund them with ZET
- zetabay
- zeta capital market
- zeta foundation (mines btc with asic and uses said btc to buy ZET for helicopter drops)
- something like coinchat that uses ZET and has games also check out bitnopoly
- zet ads
- zet microstock (images, sounds, 3d models)

also ZET needs more PR aimed at coin users. and ease of access (the currently google drive download isn't very friendly to the uninitiated)
- webwallet, like inputs.io

As a community we need to up the standard for coin releases.  ZET had/has great potential and showed that a SHA coin could survive in the space.
What we have not seen is active development or planning.  Everything seems to have stopped after this coin was dumped. Please address your plans for this coin, how you will help to bring services up for it.
Or.
Be clear and allow folks that have invested in this coin know that it was just another release of a copy coin.

The coin was minted too fast. Most of the inital coins are mined and still no meaningful services use ZET. If its going to survive the people who are holding zet need to sell it for btc and invest the btc into zet services. This will promote zet and distribute the coins. Right now most of the 160 mil is going to be held by a small group of people who are initial zet supporters. They need to stop holding and hoping for a price surge because they are hurting the coin.

Giskard gave out rewards for setting up services which were mostly donations.  He promoted the coin in a positive way.

He visits the #ZetaCoin chat on freenode and chats with us and you can too  Grin

This coin is progressing on its own path now.  Right now we should be spreading the word and telling people how to mine their own ZET.  It's a good coin for anyone just starting to mine coins.

The coin is a blank canvas and we are deciding the future of the coin.  We need to find new and innovative ways to promote the coin.

A good step is trying to get ZET on coinpayments.net

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3175112

I'm sorry but if your plan is to get more people to mine then this coin is going to fail. There is no mining incentive long term. The block reward is going to halve again soon and in a few months we'll be down to the inflationary coins only. Nobody new is going to all of a sudden start mining a coin that offers such a small reward. You should be concentrating on distributing the coins that already exist instead of trying to make more. There are 120+ million in circulation. Most of them sit in wallets. Thats a problem and its going to be the downfall of this coin.

You're such the Debby downer...

What about an exchange based on zet and other sha256 coins? This site, https://phenixex.com/ pretty much is keeping phenixcoin (PXC) alive right now. This one: https://coinex.pw/ as many of you know is one of the first exchanges to accept ZET and other alt coins. Without Coinex I think many of us would have passed on mining/trading zet early on.

Coin exchanges promote circulation and raise awareness. In my opinion if one was created it should only feature sha256 alt coins for the time being, and should feature zet as the primary currency. No btc. Otherwise people will just use it to dump coins for btc.

I'm not a programmer so I don't have any idea what it would take to implement a site like that. But right now the only thing you can do with your zet is sell them for btc. We need to change that.

is there a json source for difficulty / hashrate vs date somewhere ? maybe we can make something on jsfiddle?
although the crytpsy public api doesn't show a very long price history i think, may need another source for long term price history

https://www.cryptsy.com/json/ajaxtradechart_85.json?callback=chart

there seem to be 6 numbers for each datapoint in there...

[1379598300000,4.49e-6,4.49e-6,4.49e-6,4.49e-6,87.51690555]

i think it's date, open, high, low, close, volume

ok I managed to grab the price history data (getting around the cross origin issue using "jsonp.jit.su")
