Well ASICs have joined, this sucks. 
Yeah, mining things with mining hardware sucks. (What?)Up to 26 difficulty. Still easily solo'able. Should definitely need a pool at around 100 and above.
I think it's because ASICs jumped in, so GPUs and CPUs are pointless now already.
Nothing to do with orphans... Low difficulty is more to do with orphans.EDIT:
