I think too much hardfork, even the distance is too close together. this will definitely cause the price of bitcoin to soar. because many people are targeting bitcoin, they want a bonus (coin that resulted from hardfork bitcoin). there is a bitcoin diamond, bitcoin silver, super bitcoind, that's what I know.

Well seeing how it is already over cant discuss whether it raised BTC price (probably did) although it flew under the radar which makes me think it did not. However regardless with 3 more incoming forks next year you can be

certain this will push bitcoin price higher not sure if it will be artificially high or because it would have pumped anyhow we will never know.

I just heard a news that there will be another bitcoin hard fork
all info here : http://www.btcd.io/index.html

what do you think about it ? will this hardfork have a higher value from the old hardfork of bitcoin or it just another free money ?
First it was make your own alt coin, then it was make your own token, they, your own airdrop coin and now it is fork off your own coin.

It is all the rage at the moment, you can make good money on doing one of these new things early on, but each will get less worth while and less valuable, until eventually everyone just ignores it.

Cash was interesting, Gold was a farce (I had mine stolen Sad ) now we will have BitcoinX which will be a load of crap copycats, which will trade at below 0.01BTC.

I've subscribe in a Telegram group last time and I was surprised to see a news that says the Bitcoin Diamond was successful. I haven't been active on the crypto world lately and there's been news about Bitcoin fork here and there so I got tired of it and just wait for it if it truly comes. Hope it is like BCH though that you get something if you have a BTC on your wallet.

Hard forks are unstoppable I think. The aim of changing the nodes for possible faster and good transaction is a good idea but creating coins pertaining to bitcoin will be very confusing to newbies. No one will trust a new coin that easy.
I say stick to BTC and no matter what, we users will always be accountable in the changes in price. Anxiety is very hard to overcome. Hodl tight.

They list this fork coins instantly, then why shall they stop? I don't see a valid reason to stop. The exchanger platforms shuold declare they won't list anymore forks of bitcoin.

Total noob here needs help.
I had a small amount of BTC in my Exodus wallet prior to the fork. After the fork my Trezor arrived and I moved the BTC there. When claiming BCD, I should be using the private key of the exodus wallet right? Thanks in advance, appreciate the feedback.

Yes you should be using the key of the wallet during fork.
So that is the exodus key in your case.

you could always check your wallet on a block explorer

I guess hard fork can destroy the flow of the market although it gives more coin for those who wants and get interested with the hard work and the upcoming coin.

what do you think about it ?
I can't say a thing on this hard fork, before there is gold and now Diamond what's happening to bitcoin. They keep on putting it's name to these shameful coins.

will this hardfork have a higher value from the old hardfork of bitcoin or it just another free money ?

No one knows, these hard forks are just the same for pumping something that they want to and it all depends on the devs way of getting it if that will be a freecoin too.

I received BTG for the BTC dust that I had remaining in the exchange wallet. Looks like some of will be collecting a lot of dust of BTC forks.

they will still be there, on the forked wallet of the BTC wallet where your bitcoin were at the time of the fork

Ahhh, so whatever you hold at the moment of fork is attached to your wallet until retrieved?

Sell the BTC the forked coin is still there.

Cheers. Smiley

Can I ask on this..

Clearly if you have BTC at fork time you're entitled to an equivalent amount.

So you have 1BTC in your wallet, and if you could be arsed can go through the process of retrieving, +1BCS.

But say you don't do that, and one year later BCS turns out to be worth something, you can retroactively retrieve your BCS?

Also would making a blockchain transfer prevent you doing this?  Even if say you'd transferred it from one wallet you own, to another wallet you own?

they will still be there, on the forked wallet of the BTC wallet where your bitcoin were at the time of the fork

It's just another fork. There's also Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Silver, Bitcoin Diamond, it's pretty funny actually. Don't stress about these, just enjoy the free dividends as a Bitcoin holder. We will have thousands of forks by the end of 2018, at that point it will be even more clear than ever the fact that there is only Bitcoin, and we will own tons of altcoins for free (probably some you will not even know that they exist and you own).

is that true ? if yes where do you see that fork like bitcoin platinum or another fork
