Laika, a new dog meme coin, is gaining traction. This year, we've seen several dog 🐶 themed memecoins achieve significant market dominance, including WIF, Bonk, Myro, and FLOKI, thanks to their strong community support, partnerships, and hype. As a meme trader, I'm always looking to diversify my portfolio. That's when I noticed Laika on Twitter, a Soviet space dog turned meme coin. Its unique concept and community-driven approach caught my attention..https://laikadog.space/

While it's a meme coin, I believe Laika has potential due to its community-driven approach, products like the SuperVerse concept, and their well-laid-out roadmap. What do you think about this, and what do you look out for when picking meme coins?

I am really disappointed with meme coin because I have lost a lot of money on it. and I will always think that meme coins are just a joke that continues to harm many people even though there are some of them who can benefit. but for me meme coins are HYPE.whatever the name of the coin and whatever the shape of the image

all coins definitely have a community that always supports them. However, only a few coin memes have a solid community because so many coin memes are just hype in cryptocurrencies. and if you feel that the coin is good and has a bright future then please decide because all of us here will definitely do our own research.

Yes every coins and projects do have its community supports in various ways just as been mentioned for marketing strategies and attaining the coin values by attracting investors.
But likely I was expecting the Op to list the uniqueness of the above Memecoins as said that they're unique.
If I could be convinced that the MemeCoins do have the qualities that other Coins doesn't have eith reliability of course it'd be a good way to start.

Memecoin backed by an actual community drive usually have a better chance in the volatile realm of crypto.

I remember when Wrexham community put a substantial amount into their team just to keep it standing and that is the power of a community...

However though I don't know how big LAIKA community is at the moment but if they are passionate and even make the right moves in the marketing department, then I don't see why it will not come good. I saw there airdrop on X (https://twitter.com/DogLaikaSpace/status/1792302981938872496) like the OP pointed out and it is actually with things like these that the community grows.

Well, invest at your own risk... With so many identical alternatives of memecoins available so far, I see no reason why this LAIKA project should be seen as something special. By adopting such tokens you are actually gambling with your money, because there aren't any fundamentals to analyze why these tokens' acceptance and price should go upside. There aren't any reasons to justify a pump over these tokens besides pure speculation from crypto market. And speculation is always a very dangerous trail to follow, because at same time it leads you into profit, it can suddenly lead you to total loss in a very short period of time.

It's a completely different kind of investment when compared to Bitcoin and main altcoins which have some fundamentals, their own blockchains and long term goals to achieve side by side with the community of enthusiasts and institutional investors. When investing in memecoins, you are actually acquiring an empty product which isn't useful for anything at all... In the end, the meme is the investor who adopts these garbages. Tongue

Reading through the comments, I can't help but notice how almost everyone have a thing or two to say. Yes, I'm quite aware about the dog that was shot into space but LAIKA as a Memecoin is quite new to me as I'm just hearing about it.

Now imagine if those who supported, invested and made doge or shib a solid project that they are today had the same mentality as half the commenters here they obviously would've died off as mere hyped up Memecoins. Also, The people who made up the community that supports Doge or shib to become what they are today didn't do so because they were too woke to assume they'll be a failed project.

What I'm saying In essence is that room should be given for new projects to thrive and if you're opportune to give your support, do so as you never know if you're part of something that'll be a major breakthrough in the crypto space.

Here are few hard pills to swallow before we decide to invest into memecoins or any other shit coins. Don't be overwhelmed by the fancy shill marketing of the project as lower price doesn't mean higher returns and all memecoins don't succeed there are tons of failed memecoins but still new project will compare few successful projects. Better to invest into some service oriented or product oriented coins.

It could pump hard, this is the world of crypto, anything can moon with the backing of a good community & a good marketing campaign. Maybe it’s a bit too obvious though this time, have dog meme coins been milked?I guess we will find out soon.

Dog themed memes have the highest mcap at the moment. So there's a huge momentum there. LAIKA story is well thought of and theres a potential airdrop already. You could take a look at this and participate. https://twitter.com/DogLaikaSpace/status/1792302981938872496?t=LMJSOj8nzeOAqNGwtSveRg&s=19.

Most of the new projects are initially based on a lot of hype and appear as a tool to attract ordinary investors and die in the field after some time. I don't know much about the coin you mentioned but it can be said that some new coins are doing well in the market and investors are getting a lot of profit. If it is like them then you can choose and definitely take the risks into consideration. Some investors seem to be attracted to the new coin. Now let's see how this coin does.

It doesn't sound good hearing that you got interested on the Coin after reading articles about the project, so don't get so easily convinced with those spiced words in lighn of the medias.
To me, I haven't heard of this project coin before but as for you who had found interest on it, I wish you well.
Responding to your question on how I picks my MemeCoin invest on, I strictly figures the Coins potentials and moreover, their historical possessions because I don't invest on newly projects.

It is true that Laika a new dog theme meme coin , does indeed present an intriguing opportunity, ultimately it is a meme token, typically used for and lacking any significant real world use case. It might generate hype in the market for short time, but such trends usually don't last long. Therefore, exercise caution and invest only what you can afford to lose.

If there's community support the momentum will continue, but as a memecoin we should know it'll be highly volatile but highly rewarding also. But it's a good bet imo.

That 10% moon mission allocation on tokenomics screaming loudly that this is a scam shitcoin. They already have allocated for marketing and treasury yet they have extra token for the team personal stash.

There’s thousands of meme coin dog theme yet only few that you mention manage to become successful which means the success rate of this kind of meme coin is very low so how come a new meme coin token like can excel out of many meme coin out there that is now worthless.

The visual alone looks AI generated.

There’s really nothing unique I can see here that I can’t find anywhere else. With how many memecoins are going out every day, there should be at least something that sets you apart from the rest and nothing about this project screams uniqueness and innovation.

Even the character or the dog seems oddly familiar. A little more effort would have been great.

Lol! No! This is a copycat coin with no real value proposition. These meme coins are good for a short term trading sessions and then it dies. In the meantime, the creator of the coin makes millions and pull out from the market. That's the fate of 99% of the memecoins and I see no difference in Laika.

if you would like to trade and make money, probably you can give it a try. But it's not worth keeping in your wallet for a future appreciation!
Well I am not too familiar with the token so I can't say many things about the token. This is the first time I am seeing and hearing this Laika token but that not withstanding because people like to invest or mine new project because once it listed in any exchange the investors would make good money from them. And recently the rate of new memecoins coming into the cryptocurrency world s getting much and from the creation of cryptocurrency in 2009 to date, this year will record the highest number of memecoins creation.

Only today I have heard of three memecoins. Laika Hamster Kombat and Tapswap and more are still coming. And the mining of those airdrops are very high. And really any token that doesn't have a community reorganization then it is not worth more mining or investing.

Almost all the memecoins that I've heard of, they all come with hypes promising to skyrocket to the orbit, but in the end most of them will not hit the cloud before they die. But that is not to say that there are no memecoins, that have made people rich, only that it's mainly their developers that will cash out and crash the project. There are a few reputable memecoins like dogecoin and Shiba Inu, that have lasted in the market, made their investors rich and a still relevant today, hopefully this LAIKA project can become one of them, but we'll never know, that is why we need to invest the amount that we can afford to loose.

Set to what?
OK.
That's the big OK that you'll ever get from me. Because every new meme coin that comes out, you always have something to say that you guys with the new meme coin, you'll take over the world.
