Hardware wallets are considered to be one of the safest ways to store bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, especially for newbies because all the important data required for signing transactions is stored offline on a piece of hardware.
However, there are many phishing websites impersonating real hardware wallet producers.
They usually ask you for your seed phrase (12 or 24 words) to "restore" your wallet.
