Can someone confirm if the Gray circle on the back of the square Trezor package means it's a Metallic trezor or plastic? Or how can I tell if it's the Metallic one?

thanks:

Does anyone remember back in late 2013, when SatoshiLabs was taking pre-orders for the first batch of hardware wallets, this included how many plastic / Classic wallets, and how many First Edition Metallic wallets?

If I remember correctly, in the first batch, there were only 100-200 First Edition Metallic wallets ever created, correct?

Can someone confirm. thanks

1. When the cable is connected, the screen with the Trezor logo lights up, then by pressing the keys, a phrase appears in the spirit of "Do you want to block the device? Yes / No. In general, nothing else happens.
It's interesting that googling that error message in connection with the term 'Trezor' doesn't return anything useful. It's like no one else has seen and reported it before.

I can't imagine it's an outdated firmware. Do you have a different computer you could connect your Trezor to just to see if the same error appears?
The standard recommendations for those things would be trying different USB ports and connecting the device directly to the port and not via a USB hub.

For about half a year I did not use the Hardware Wallet of the first model, but just recently I tried to enter it, but my attempts were unsuccessful.
If I understand correctly you own Trezor ONE hardware wallet, right?
First thing I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall latest version of Trezor Suite app with bridge, and install it again from scratch to see if this fixes your problem.
Than you can also connect Trezor with other third party wallets like Electrum or Sparrow and see if Trezor works with them.
Try with this first and let me know what happens next.

1. When the cable is connected, the screen with the Trezor logo lights up, then by pressing the keys, a phrase appears in the spirit of "Do you want to block the device? Yes / No. In general, nothing else happens.
I don't remember ever noticing message like this...

Trezor supported operating systems are Linux, MacOS (version 10.13 and higher) and Windows (version 10 or newer), so make sure you have that updated as well.

PS
I hope you have seed phrase backup safe on your paper.

Forgive me if my question may seem stupid to someone .... the problem is of the following nature.  Embarrassed

For about half a year I did not use the Hardware Wallet of the first model, but just recently I tried to enter it, but my attempts were unsuccessful.

1. When the cable is connected, the screen with the Trezor logo lights up, then by pressing the keys, a phrase appears in the spirit of "Do you want to block the device? Yes / No. In general, nothing else happens.

2. Neither suite.trezor nor trezor bridge recognizes the device (I tried at least three different cables). In this case, all three cables supply power to the device and the logo is displayed.

New version of Trezor Suite 21.6.1 is ready for download for Linux and MacOS and next week they will also release windows os version.
This is the last update before they release full version that is not beta anymore on July 14th, so if you are still using old Trezor web wallet it might be a good time to switch to Trezor Suite.
There is auto-updater built inside app that will automatically install all future version when they came out, and I recommend downloading app instead of using web version.
Latest firmware version for Trezor Model One is 1.10.1 and for Trezor Model T firmware version 2.4.0.

Doesn't Trezor suite automatically detect the Ethereum addresses that contain the funds? It's only displaying the #1 and #2 accounts for some reason (which are empty) but not the other addresses that have funds.

Maybe is only for the first time. Now I can't remember as it was in my case.
I have 10# addresses automatically displayed. there are some funds on each and I am not sure in what order they are displayed. For now, it doesn't matter much to me, the search box working well but it can be good improvements in next future updates. Settings where user can decide which addresses want to show first when login on the app.
Also, I had some addresses which one tx and some useless token on balance. it would suit me if I could hide it.

I don't think it's the hardware specifically that causes this behavior.  I've used MEW and MetaMask with the Leger and the KeepKey, and they display the same ETH wallets with the addresses in identical order.  I've always assumed it's the order of derivation, but I don't know that for a fact.

None of the wallets automatically display funded addresses, unless the first address in your hd path happens to be funded.

Trezor just released new firmware update v1.10.0 for Trezor One hardware wallet, and update v21.5.1 for their Trezor Suite software.
They made updates for Locktime delayed transactions, fixed some bugs in Trezor firmware and for Suite software they added safety checks and secure encrypted messaging system.
I don't see anything that needs urgent firmware updating so you may want to wait for few days until more users test this release.

NOTE: I had some issues updating this firmware and I only managed to do it after trying and reconnecting five or six time.

Quote
- Public key to ECDHSessionKey.
- Allow decreasing the output value in RBF transactions.
- Support long PIN of up to 50 digits.
- Display nLockTime in human-readable form.

I had a different experience.  Using trezorctl the firmware update was flawless and instant on my T1's.  Trezorctl is so much better and less buggy with every single programming function I use on all Trezor devices.  Just .02

The developers of the Trezor hardware wallet have recalled its advantages against hacking attempts against the background of plans by the US authorities to create a tool to bypass protection and gain access to crypto assets. After the digital forensics division of the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) placed a tender on April 29 to create a universal solution for hacking hardware wallets that may be of interest to investigations https://www.vice.com/en/article/k78a53/the-irs-wants-help-hacking-cryptocurrency-hardware-wallets

Precisely.  And that is why open source is imperative - in my mind.  Once we all realize that a Gov power will be able to crack a simple hardware device security element/chip THEN we will "grow up".  Time to learn to use off device encryption augmentation keeping their frickin eyes out of our business.  Long passphrases, and encryption SALT files (enabling encrypted SEED, and encrypted PINs) can be kept entirely OFF the hardware wallet on the devices I am using.  Even if I just save them time and give them my SEED I am giving them nothing they can use without MUCH more.  With the power of 3 letter agencies vs little secure elements it would be laughable to bet the farm such simplicity could prevail!

I thought for a moment it's some Tropic Square prototype but couldn't find any new info so probably not:

I asked Trezor team for estimation when they could release new Trezor with open source secure element and they told me there is no ETA but they are on the right path and chip is only the first step for new Trezor model.
I think that would mean some major redesign Smiley

Could this be some new Trezor hardware wallet redesign or is it just a concept from Prototypum Czech designers?
I don't know, but this has a nice unibody design, they say case is made from aluminum alloy and it does have similar Trezor shape but it looks much better.
Same team made this silicone cover for Trezor Model T in 2017/2018 so maybe they are working with Trezor developers on something.

Oh, this looks so good. Also the fit and finish of this Trezor look to be way better than on the current version and I really like the touch pad they have on top.
I really hope this is the final design for the new Trezor wallet and not just a prototype.

Web wallet says to update Trezor T to firmware version 2.3.6 but there has been no tweets, nothing updated on website or firmware changelog announcing this update that followed so soon after version 2.3.5. What's up Trezor?

You can always check the latest version of the changelog on their GitHub. It looks like that update was supposed to be released tomorrow and it isn't critical.
