Lottery is a game that really needs a luck in order to win but if you can hit that luck then you will surely live a comfortable life. $1 billion is a very huge amount of money and you are only earning it within one night if you can hit the correct combination.

Even if there is a tax, still the amount that he win is still pretty huge so I am sure that tax will not matter that much to the winner. No one is going to support you. If you ask the common man out there in the street, he will respond that the government should deduct 90% of the winning as tax, and not 70%. In general, there is a lot of aversion to rich people. And that is the reason why governments always camouflage their tax increases to give an impression that they are targeting the rich (and in reality it is the middle class that is the worst hit).
