Yeah, that's not going to work... Speaking from experience here...

You will need a dedicated 240v circuit breaker to give those power supplies the voltage they need in order to efficiently put out 1200watts. The heat that ONE unit puts out will keep a 200 sq ft room at 85 Fahrenheit very easily. In short you need the following:

240V Circuit
240V PDU
Heavy Gauge Power cables from the PDU to the miner
Wired Ethernet connections from the miner to the switch
Somewhere to exhaust the heat

You will need to run things at 220 to get the proper power out of the PSUs. These machines pull 1200w each so you will need to upgrade your electrical if you are running them at home. You are looking at 10k watts in total which is a lot of power to run in a home. Also you will need some major cooling if you are planning on keeping these in one bedroom.

Also remember its not about the number of plugs in the room its about the number  of circuits. Most houses have multiple outlets off of the same breaker so you need to plan accordingly.

I'd also be concerned about the quality of the power and also your ability to cool these devices properly.

Honestly with that much of an investment I'd consider going with a co-location..   JUST to protect the investment.. also if the technical aspect of environmentals isn't in your wheel house it might be the best overall for up time and reliability.

Hello everyone, sorry for my ignorance as I am new to this. I have purchased 8 of the new D3's and I was wondering what I need to do to have these prepared? I plan on buying the power supplies for each one straight from bitmain so I will have 8 of those as well. I plan on running these in my spare bedroom at home. I know I will have at least 4 of them at my home, and possibly the other 4 at another location. What do I need to do electrical wise to be prepared so that when they arrive I can have them up and running quickly? I have a lot of 110 plugins in this room (I live in the US) but the spare room shares the same wall as my breaker box so I can add whatever wiring I need to. Do i need to add plugins that can handle 220? what is recommended? Thanks for any help!
