With todays firmware, you can do this for free, or at least get partway there:

Downgrade to the May 3rd, 2017 Fixed Frequency 650 firmware.
Use the Advanced.cgi link to set your frequency (I found 750 maxed out my APW3++ PSU)
Upgrade to the October 22nd , 2018 firmware.

My power usage still remained a bit below what it was.  Antminer was producing 14,764 GH/Sec.  Of course, that is less efficient than if you did not overclock it.

I've heard there are additional settings that need  to be tweaked via SSH in order to get it to actually perform at clock speed.

Block halving is coming.
netstat isnt telling me much. however i did find another thread on this firmware.

I almost read all posts from this thread and I don't find any legit reviews about this firmware.
taserz is asking for a source code of this firmware, but OP doesn't give any open source and maybe it's a clone firmware with additional dev fee.

So, I think the firmware is not safe, I advise you to flash it back to the original firmware and follow this guide How To Overclock Your S9/T9+,T9,R4 To 18TH/s Free. you can edit your miner manually with your own without doubt of having dev fee when mining.

This is a pretty sketchy request for a guy with no history on the forum, I would caution other people not to do this, its just too risky

Where did you get this firmware and why would you use it? If you get this from unknown source it could be someone stealing your hashrate. There are some other ways to overclock the miner by changing the frequency with a default firmware from bitmain.

Anyway, if you don't know how to use "netstat" you can get some idea how to do it from here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bought-a-hacked-antminer-s9-help-please-2964238

If you have a bad feeling about this firmware, I suggest reflashing the miner to default firmware is a better option than giving your hashrate to thieves.

If it is disconnecting from your pool on its own, then you should assume it is taking part of your hash. Why don't you use netstat to check?

Folks,

Can you please check this overclock/autotune firmware to see if it has a hidden Dev fee? It seems to work nicely but disconnects every hour or so. For some reason it's occasionally mining on my alternative pools. I cant tell if it is also mining on someone else' pool.

Thanks again
