How the heck did the KNC miner kill the PSU? Is this common?

Btw, if anyone needs a great 120mm LED fan, the Coolermaster Jet-Flo fans are excellent.  I've never seen a 120mm fan move so much air and virtually silently.

And that says a lot since my opinion of Coolermaster couldn't be worse.  I just bought a 1200w Silent Pro Gold to replace a Corsair AX860 that my KNC killed. What a piece-o-crap PSU!  Since when are high-end PSUs not all totally modular?!  There's not even enough connections available to plug in what I need.  I guess it's time to
try some Seagate PSUs since Corsair has let me down.  But it seems every vendor in the US is out-of-stock on high end PSUs.  I think Bitcoin is affecting the DIY PC availability on a few types of components.

Beautiful, just beautiful!  You make me wish I could do that stuff.  And I don't care what anyone says LED fans are effing gorgeous.  My ASIC room (lol, I actually have one of those now!  It was a great walk-in pantry.) looks like Las Vegas with all of the colored lights.

With a tunnel configuration (which you have created), I would strongly recommended reversing all the fans so the middle fans blow into the heatsinks, and the three external fans we see exhaust. Negative pressure > positive pressure for airflow when sealed.

Can you explain more about your idea? The fan will blow the cool air to the heatsink. ( Since I put it the DC, there is a cool air flow )

Airflow is much greater when its trying to fill negative pressure rather than being forced away from positive pressure. You want to exhaust as much air as possible from the case, creating negative pressure. The ambient temperature of the air inside the case pre-antminer will be the same as external as its not been heated at all.

Looks like your running 1 PSU for both antminers, how's that working out for you?
I'd like to try 1 PSU for 2 miners what do you recommend?

Thanks

I ordered 6 ANTMINER S1 with Bitmain. What I can say is : PERFECT SERVICE, PERFECT PRODUCT!

I decided to join 2 S1 to one case with one 1000 PSU.

Here is what I've done today.

Make a frame.

Frame is OK.

Put 2 in one case.

Running for testing.

4 machines in 2 cases.

Everything looks great.

Thanks BITMAIN for PERFECT products and good support from BITMAIN and sushi.
