It sounds like one of your hashboards died. There are 3 each doing a bit over 30TH so dropping to the 60s really sounds like one of them just stopped working.
What does the web gui show for the boards? Also post the debug log if possible.

Did you get any kind of warranty on the unit? If you did, it might just be easier to send it back for a different one then spend time troubleshooting the problem.

-Dave

Hi Dave,
You are right. I checked on the UI on the browser, and initially it showed hash board 1 not working, and I did a restart from the UI.
After it restarted, it showed only board 2 and 3.
Yes, I have warranty on the unit. So should I let it running with just 2 boards, or should I turn it off.
If I have to turn it off, should I just click on the restart miner button, and then un plug it? Or simply unplug it?
Thank you

Just let it run. If the board is not hashing it's not pulling power so it's not like it costs more power to have it just sit there. You are just loosing profit.

You can try making sure the cables from the controller are in all the way and a full power down and cool off cycle and see if that fixes it, but since you do have a warranty I would just get a new miner.

-Dave

Thank you Dave,
I am letting it run for the time being, and I am waiting for a response from the customer service of the seller. I got this from Amazon, and the seller is QIO TECH, so I am a bit reluctant to open it up to check what you were suggesting. It could be that there is a loose contact from transportation, however it would also void the warranty, right?
I will see what they respond, and I hope they have someone local that would take care of repairing the unit, otherwise I would have to send it back to China, and wait for a resolution...
Eventually, according to how the warranty process is working with them, I would send it back for a full refund, and I will see if I purchase a new one.
I will see first how they respond, and what their warranty response is.
Have a great day

Hi guys,
I managed today to turn on my Antminer S19 95TH, and it is working!!! An electrician helped me with a 220V line, so from this point of view everything is nice and dandy.
I was so excited to see the hashrate going to 96T, however, after a while, it went to 64, and then to 62, and it is still oscillating between those two.
Can I do anything? Did I configure it wrongly?
I already took contact with ViaBTC to see what is going on, and I am waiting for their response.
The miner is very noisy, and the basement is getting pretty warm now. It is good that we are approaching winter, so it will be good.
Thank you

So,
Is there a specific procedure to turn off an Antminer S19 for cleaning or for replacing network cables? Or simply unplug the power cords would be enough?
Thank you

This unit does not have a switch or button to turn it off this unit you just simply unplug the unit from the power source.

Or you can use the reboot button from the dashboard you can find it under the system and then once the unit LED light turns off unplug the unit from power source.
Thank you very much

I checked the speed and it is 10Mbps, and, from what I understood that the server would need some 5Mbps, it should be enough no?
Thank you
If you are running one unit 10mbps should be beyond enough the important is the internet you provide to the unit is should stable and use a pool server that gives you low latency like if you are in the US then use the US pool server or if you are living in Asian country then use Asia pool server.

Hi all,

Right now I am about to set the combinations of cables that philipma1957 sent me, and configure my antminer.
I would have another question though. I let's say I want to have a cabling solution involving an electrician, and later on I will switch to that solution, what are the proper steps to take the antminer down and plug it into the other cabling solution?
Do I have to follow a specific procedure, succession of steps, or just unplugging it should be enough?

Thank you

Have a great weekend.

Hi,
I forgot to ask. How much bandwidth does my antminer S19 need? I found online that it would need 5Mbps, however I did not find something specifically related to my Antminer S19, OK?
There is a simple formula which is provided by Bitmain support:
Code:
Network bandwidth (Mbps) = number of servers (sets)/150.
Source: https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/5291909784601-Network-Bandwidth-and-Load#:~:text=The%20formula%20for%20calculating%20the,of%20servers%20(sets)%2F150.

Since you are using one unit the required bandwidth is less than 1Mbps. Smiley

I want to figure out if I should pull a network cable from the router (2nd floor) to the antminer (basement), or should I use 2 power outlet adapters?
Thank you
Regarding ur network setup, its always recommened to use a direct cable connection fore a more reliable and steady connection.
But I know myself that this is not always possible. Therefore, u can also choose the variant with the 2 power outlet adapters, if a direct wired connection is not possible.
Thank you very much for the information.
I could pull a cable from the router (2nd level) to the miner (basement), however it will be through the house, and it would not be practical.
I could also pull it through the air ducts, however I need help, which I do not have right now.
I checked the speed and it is 10Mbps, and, from what I understood that the server would need some 5Mbps, it should be enough no?
Thank you

you can keep the receptacle you will just need the plug that fits it.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WQVGNNR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?

works with some dryer receptacles

and it would work with

 this cable
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C4YWYGS2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?

and this cable
https://www.amazon.com/IEC-C20-C13-Splitter-Cord/dp/B07J6S348C/ref=sr_1_5?

so wall outlet =1)

adatper I just linked =2)

l6 -30p to c19 cable =3)

c20 to spliter c13 = 4)

Thank you very much for your response philipma1957,
I already ordered the cables, and the outlet that you previously suggested, so I will see if I can find an electrician who would replace the existing outlet with the one you first suggested.
That adapter that you suggested  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WQVGNNR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1? would be interesting because then I would not need any electrician to help me with the work.
I will think about those two solutions. I need only to send back the outlet and order the adapter.
Have a great day

Either way should work.  let us know how it works out for you.
Thank you very much philipma1957

Hey,

i am doing a similar setup as yours. Were you successful with the transformer?
[snip]
try and find a 50amp single pole circuit breaker.

and it needs more than  10 gauge wire it needs 8 gauge and there would be a proper plug to carry that much current.

If OP and others are going to be serious about their mining set on the scale of what @philipma1957 does then better follow their threads. I have been a secret follower of their threads and seen all the types of experiences that they have shared. Whether it is setting up a new miner, bringing in a new mining rack that can hold a big set up, or may be cooling down the entire mining farm, they have always seen putting their actual pictures and explaining what is happening at their facility.

I think that is the best way to go with it. You also share your experience and we can visualize the entire project with pictures. Please start checking out what they have done in the past. Moreover, there are detailed set up threads for dummies where one can get every bit of knowledge on how to proceed.

Hi,
I would have one other question.
The adapter you sent me the link of has 3 prongs, and my outlet has 4. Does it matter if I use all 4 prongs, or just 3?
For instance this one has 4 prongs:

Hi,
I actually quit the trafo solution as, from what I understood, it would get very hot, and become a fire hazard.
I got this information from several sources, so I opted in the end for the 220V line.
Have a great day
