is this psu strong enough to lift antminer s7?
enermax lepa G1600
http://www.lepatek.com/eng/product_content/1/1/20/

if anyone wants to give coupons, my bitmain id : anamichii , thanks  Wink

The big thing I see is "Six powerful +12V rails with high maximum loads offer great compatibility with heavy-duty graphics cards".    If you go EVGA 1600 you get a single rail.

I could be nut's but I think that part might cause some problems.  And I could be wrong, but all mine have been single rail.

If you already own one you can use it and it will work, I have one myself I ran one from, just be careful how you separate the rails...  I went one rail per board, and the 4th rail I used a splitter on and spread across all three boards plus power and it worked fine..

If you are buying something there are much better options, I would just a server PSU myself for less than an ATX option..

Whatever pool we use, the fact that rewards are getting less due to difficulty increase makes reaching ROI harder.

so  i'm just a small time "hobby miner". (thats code for "i mine at a net loss because im addicted to crypto" though i suppose most miners
like myself probably rationalize their habit with comments like "i just wanna support the network")
Anyway... excuse my ignorance and sorry if its been asked (my google search skills are lacking)
As i only have 115v outlets available, i was wondering if the built in PSU  currently powering my solo S4 would suffice to power an S7?
Im thinking probably not but thought id ask here.

I don't think hobby miner is code for that at all.   I see home miner as  110-120  volt plugging in where they can.  I see hobby mining as a bigger scale with  area and proper power.   That does not mean profit, but I think size is bigger.

Home miner would be what  I think  your looking  for with 115v outlet and a solo s4.   You would not be able to do it with bitmain's PSU as it takes  205+ V to turn on.  but likely you could do it with a mix of PSU's or a evga 1600 (epensive).  If you mix make sure not to mix on hashing boards, only 1 PSU not 2 mixing on the  hashing boards.

Kano pool also gives away free Avalon 6.  Members including myself also hook each other smaller members with pay bonuses from time to time, free S7 Coupons, and other cool pool exclusive features.  It's like a Cosco membership without any fees.   So that's why you see many people rave about it everywhere, high satisfaction rate.  The support we get from the developers and forum members are also best in class.  Let's continue adding more Fire Power!  PEW PEW PEW!!!

Not to mention just a month ago it was half the current hash rate.. obviously something is going right with a hash power jump that big.

Are any of you guys still making profits from these new S7s. The difficulty change is killing the mined satoshis.
If you want to acheive faster ROI you should try kano.is. The rewards are uncomperable with other pools.

How come everyone started blasting the kano pool on every thread? I've had miners pointed there, I like the pool, but luck is luck. Kano is very comparable to other pools. Since the pool started it is ~6% above the expected luck over about a year and a half. Thats good but not insane. And it will level out over a long enough time frame.

There have been bad streaks and there will be again. They just went for about day now without a block when they should have found about 5 by this point.

It isn't only about luck. It is about the pool operators working in a positive way for the miners and bitcoin as a whole. You can tell there is something very right about Kano CKPool after being there for even just a short while. If you think luck is the only thing that matters when mining then you really need to go back and do a bit of research on how this whole thing works. There is a lot more that goes on than just luck.

Even if the pool was right at 100% luck I'd still mine there because I like to support pools that support bitcoin, like you know, not mining empty blocks.

It isn't complicated; It's the best option there is for pooled mining by a good stretch. When people find good things, they often want to share them ie let people know.

Your numbers are wrong, BTW.

Incorrect.
Sheesh can you even read?

Current shares is 220%
Last block was 17hrs ago.
220% means the expected blocks in that time is ... 2.2

Try at least using your brain before spouting incorrect numbers.

On ALL pools you are expected to get 220% or more ...

0.88919684163767  220.000%  1 in 9.0

One in 9 blocks are expected to be 220% or more

They are pretty small coupons thought in scheme of things.   I predict they sell batch 10 for a week or so after holiday's, maybe 2 weeks.  Then a possible price change.  If it was a 100 or 200 dollar coupon I would guess more on waiting.   But for around 20 dollars don't see it as a big loss for them.

I would have to agree with you notlist3d.

according to my calculations they should be profitable until about 350000000000 difficulty at 10c a KWH.. well into the halving..
