And to put some more salt on this wound  the diff is jumping to 214 or 214 which is about 6%

I will be the first to say  just buy the miner  for the 320 and source  dps-2000 psu's in the states.

And  here is your breakdown on the s-7  if we do 3% jumps in diff  and you have 6 cent power  lets say it was 350 with bulk shipping in 259 days  you go red and lose 150  not counting your dps-2000 psu's

6 cent power loss of   -200
5 cent power loss of   -110
4 cent power gain of      11
3 cent power gain of    173

I did not count  your psu cost  I made shipping extra low

so at 3 cent power these are a maybe buy    and 50 x 350 = 17500 usd    then add your own psu's

I have even tried emailing bitmain regarding this but the guy answering the emails who goes by the name of Sharif, really hasn't got the jist of what I am trying to get over to him.

I keep trying to specify that I am asking regarding the offer but he keeps just referring me to the prices on the website.

"Sharif (Bitmain)
Aug 10, 14:27 CST

Dear Alex,

Price offered on webpage is including miner. 320$ per 1 units S7

Price of PSU is 105$ per unit.

After you confirm final amount of miner and provide detailed delivery address, we will ask shiiping company to calculate delivery cost to England."

I give up

"Limited quantity" but mininum order quantity of 50.

Can't anyone else see the INHERENT CONTRADICTION in this?

No Grin

but I get what you mean.

To me it means they have 5000 pieces  and no more after that.  It means they will sell it at 50 pieces or more until the 5000 are gone.

And as we all know there is no real warranty.  Since I don't have enough power for 50 units  and you need 1 to 3 cent power I won't be buying them.

Oh at 320 Plus 130 for the psu it is 450 plus shipping so it is close to 500 a set.

Roi is 200 -265 days at 1 cent power

Roi is 232-354 days at 2 cent power

Roi is 293 -never days at 3 cent power

I used current btc price of  590 a coin  and use 2% diff for the low with 4% dif for the high

So these are overpriced if you have  70kwatts of 3 cent power to run the 50

Lets face it  we all know about bitmaintech and the warranty issues they have.

@ bitmaintech  here is a suggestion offer no warranty option  and if a buyer takes it give he a coupon to use on a future miner.  If the buy wants the  warranty don't give them a coupon.

This way  the buyer will not take you up on the warranty problems you have.  Since you don't honor them anyway.

I certainly would rather buy an s-9 with no warranty  and you give me a 10% coupon on my next s-9.
Then no one is in suspense about the warranty.

I would think you see that ETH and ETC are doing pretty well.

Mostly many people like buying from
 intel
amd
 nvidia
samsung
western digital

to get mining gear with real warranties.

A very good   eth rig costs less then your s-9 ,uses less power ,earns btc faster , runs quieter, has a real warranty.

at the price of a miner right now unless you have cheap power btc mining with a s9 would take me over a year to get roi

Legally in the U.S., if you pay for an item, you're supposed to get it working.  They are supposed to pay for shipping return if it arrives not working.  But since this is from China, it's a bit hard to get them to conform to U.S. laws.

As for warranty, I'm not sure of this but isn't a length of time not start from the purchase date but from the date it arrives when shipped?

it does not have to be new either that depends what you bought if it's a brand new car sold that way they have to replace the bad parts with new parts not rebuilt/Refurbished parts, for a year or two, i think it is or had to a while back , i think most new stuff has to be replaced new or with new parts for a while just not sure how long before they can use any part that works , been thu it all, with a few new cars and they do try to cut corners on parts and cover it up and the sad part in the end it cost more not replacing new with new. Sad .I know miners are a whole different beast but it should apply to them as well it's a Man made product.

I thought this was PSU and miner for $320. Might want to clarify the title.

You are right...the title says Miner &PSU for $320  the " /miner " means nothing to me?

Warranty:

1. A 90-day warranty is provided starting from the shipping date. To avail this warranty a Repair ticket must be generated by the customer on Bitmain's website. Overclocking the miner will void the warranty immediately.

so i guess to extend it some...just file a repair ticket on day 89 ...just in case...and drag it out as long as you can Smiley

They come with a one-month warranty from Bitmain and cost only $320/miner.

But if the product is "beyond repair" during the warranty period, all bets are off, right ?  Roll Eyes

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.15833273

usually in the US  it's replaced with A fully tested used one or rebuild aka Refurbished one if it's beyond repair and you didn't do the Damage, that's our Law. i just had a ASUS motherboard and a dell monitor 27 inch replaced all shipping paid  by dell for the monitor and had the replacement the next day and the mother board i had to pay shipping to , i was told by ASUS and dell both they were beyond repair ( but i meet some one a long time ago that told me if the parts are there nothing is beyond repair its just a mater how time and money you want to put into having it fixed ) sense it wasn't user damage, so they would replace them,  but were not dealing with a US based company so they can do pretty much what they want to, they don't have to follow any hard fast rules .  you can bet they would fix that S9 board/miner or try to and either resell it as a new  S9 or sell it for parts or take parts off it to fix other S9's and resell them as new , if you don't want it back  because it is a S9 they won't destroy it .  i don't know who they think they are fooling.

so the PSU's are not included?

Hang on, so its only a $45 discount for a miner which has more than likely been ragged hard and you don't even get a decent warranty? not that it matters anyway because we know bitmain are less than forth coming with repairing kit that has quite obvious manufacturing issues.

even with a PSU and if they were $100 dollars cheeper its steep

Yes @BoblawBlaw, if the product returned by the customer is damaged or broken beyond repair, it is NOT covered by Bitmain's warranty policy.

BITMAIN- when a miner arrives with one board D.O.A.  and your servicer confirms it,  Why do I have to pay for the return D.O.A  item?

And I want real guarantees, not the 10% coupon instead of that.

I have bought a total of 21 x S9   from them 11xS9 from Batch1

Yesterday stopped working  again one miner center board from Batch5 miner.  This time fiirst from freq 600 miners, what I have total only 4 pcs.

In total from 21 miners I have 4 not working blades.

Three of them are midle(center) boards.   Pretty sure this is not normal.

The radiators are in their place and no burning marks.  Quite certainly, this is design flaw.

I do not think that downcloking helps. I do not have a warm room, and we are currently in outdoors of 17 degrees Celsius.

I have one not working center blade from 650, 600 and even 550 freg miner.
4 blade was not in center, but was D.O.A.

Bitmain- make from S9 normal product . Only 2 blades and long radiators like S7 LN has.

I read this as $320 for both the used S7 and a used PSU.  Turns out it is $320 just for the used S7 and the PSU extra.  About $425 for both, not $320 as I thought.

I have to admit that the warranty issues I have been reading lately have me more than a little hesitant to buy any other products from Bitmain. Too much BTC / USD at risk. Even with my good past experience with five various Antminer products.

One month warranty from shipping date means only 23-25 days real warranty,  not one-month.
