Thanks for the reply, I did send you a pm.  If I were to purchase 2 units, would I need 2 separate power supplies, or could 1 bigger one do?  Thanks again.

What is a good PSU for this unit?

Hello Darthswan and Happy New Year.

I'm a little hungover, but bear with me.
A good PSU for an AntMiner @ 350 MHZ (stock clock) would be a Gold or Platinum 750w to 850W PSU.   The lowest I personally now go is 600-650w.
AntMiners @ 350MHZ pull 360-400 watts and 400w/800w = 50% of load on a PSU, which is when a PSU is most efficient.

If you overclock your AntMiner to say 400mhz, your PSU will pull 460-600 Watts at the wall.  This variance depends greatly on the PSU you use.
AntMiners @ 400MHZ -> 200-205GH/s -->   520watt/1000watt =  52% load.

Gold PSU are about ~91% efficient @ 50% load.
Platinum are about ~92-93% efficient @ 50% load.

Bronze PSU is usually below 80% efficiency even though they may say 85% efficient  (on 125V Circuit).
PSU below 80% rating will pull less than 75% efficiency scores.

Hope this Helps.  Smiley

Hi Guys.

Just to post, I ordered one antMiner from Ninja on Friday, it came in yesterday, from the Dec. batch.   Shipping to Toronto and duty paid on the unit was 85 dollars.  Great customer service!  Thanks ninja.

Happy mining.

Hi
Checking in since I have heard from you yet. I'm interested in purchasing now however I need to know when you are going to have in stock. I learned today I'm going to have to go out of town for work on Friday. If you can get it out by Thursday or meet up on Friday I'll purchase it now. If not I'll get in touch the end of next week when I get back to see about making a purchase
Thanks

Might need a dummy-load, or the 12v regulator has no reference-voltage to adjust with. I believe it is the 5v rail, which is not the USB (always-on) 5v. Had that issue with using dual PSU's on some cheaper PSU's. Many new PSU's have a built-in dummy-load and better 12v rail regulation. Normally, the 5v->3v voltage-regulator on the Mobo, and fans, and leds, are the 5v source load.

A few 5v/6v fans is adequate "draw", for the chip to sense the drop, and give better 12v rail regulation. (Usually they just throw a giant wire-wound resistor as a dummy-load.)

Looking at these with interest. A new toy to play with.

Thermal paste who cares, what I see in this pic is an on-board PCI-E 6pin connector!  WOO Yeah!  No more pigtails!

For what its worth, I got my ANT today, works great, thanks g-ninja!

P.S.  For those of you wondering about power supplies, I tried a Corsiar CX500W and a TX650W and 500W drops a bit low on the 12v rail down to 11.6v  Sad  The 650 stays 12.0v stable.

So, I got the unit today. It looks like a 5 year old applied too much thermal paste and it leaked through the on the board to the other side. It got EVERYWHERE on my hands etc...

wtf am I supposed to do now? I paid 0.33BTC to have it expedited too. Each day I am not mining I am losing ~$50.

Also, I paid 0.33BTC and only got Next day air SAVER. The difference is that if it was next day Air I would have gotten the machine on Saturday.

O well. Thanks for shipping it out not going to complain to much about Next Day air saver vs non saver and working over holiday weekend.

But my question remains WTF do I do about this? I am scared to turn it on with thermal paste everywhere.

Hello bkc88,

UPS Next Day Air or Day Day Air Saver said delivery would be next business day (Monday).  However, this is not the normal case, but I think UPS did this because it is holiday time.
Trust me I checked All delivery options and the earliest guarantee delivery was by was Monday.
As far as the thermal paste, sometimes the AntMiners will come with an excessive amount.  Just use a paper towel to remove the extra thermal paste.  The unit should power on fine.

Ok, Thanks so much Greaterninja! Didn't mean to be an asshole.

Guys I want to give an update on the website:

Bitcoin Transactions are secure.

HTTPS and SSL are being worked on by the hosting provider.  They wanted me to pay for a dedicated IP to host a dedicated SSL Cert, which I already paid for and installed.  I told them fine...just please get it done ASAP.

My apologies for any inconvenience.

Hello Guys,

We have a dedicated SSL Site Certificate installed, I've quadrupled checked and it seems our hosting provider is blocking SSL connections.  I've emailed support, so hopefully they resolve the issue ASAP.

As far as January units I expect them to deliver in early January.

If you guys wish to buy in lots of 10 or more, please message me.

Very Respectfully,

GreaterNinja
