Yes, what you said is correct. But most of the gambler will choose the disadvantages of gambling means they know then can't always win from gambling but they will try to chase down there luck and it this process they will lose lot of money and let with only problems.

There is one that I could think of: entertainment. Gambling is intended to be a form of entertainment and not a means to get you to your riches. Another thing is that some people are being too greedy that once they know they can win, they will continue on doing it in hopes of hitting the jackpot.

everyone who gambles gets greedy at some point or another and play more until they become broke.
