With that much capital, of course you are better off investing in altcoins,
because altcoins can make you achieve high profits when the bullish season arrives,
we are still in the bear season and with only $ 500 or $ 1000 capital it is very suitable for investment now,
you don't have to worry about losing your capital , as long as you know about altcoin fundamental analysis,
and my recommendation for you is Chromia (CHR) because this altcoin has dropped from -92% ATH,
so it is very suitable for investment.

$ 600 for 1 altcoin is of course still very profitable than $ 600 just to buy Bitcoin,
therefore your choice to buy altcoins is the right one, I have a good recommendation that you can hold until the bull run returns or maybe hold until 2024 or 2025,
that is the Origin Protocol, yes one of the altcoin projects that is still off the radar and still very undervalued, buy and hold OGN I'm sure you will get a lot of profit.

In the last bullrun it was a very good project for profit. It was one of the first projects on Coinlist, if I am not mistaken. There is one uncertainty in all this, because the coin is already quite old, it is more than 5 years old, if you count since the ICO, it is not sure that it will update its ATH, or will grow at all. You can take a risk, but I wouldn't put all the money into this altcoin. I would recommend OP to add at least one coin that entered the market last year, or this year. The younger the coin, the more likely it is to make a good profit.

Wait, I'm quite confused with what you've said because you said that you're just new here, yet you also said that you have bought as nice amount of BTC as well since 2010.

If you're already investing that long in cryptocurrency, then by now you should be accustomed and familiar already with what are the top performing and working altcoins that could be nice to invest and forget until the year 2026, even the promising ones, you should know it already.
Probably the OP meant, that was new to the forum, but in the crypto for a long time. But by the way, when I saw that the OP has bitcoin since 2010, then it is really confusing, because for so many years one could understand that investing in bitcoin is the most reliable and in 13 years should make such a holder very wealthy.

$600 isn't that big of a deal to expect to make a big profit out of it, unless the OP is looking to invest in altcoins that will make x100.  Grin

In fact, at this moment, altcoins look very bad, some update their lows, is it worth the risk, I don’t know, maybe it’s worth it and you will get good profits, but it’s also possible that not all of them survive to see the new bull run.

Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
Actually, i don’t like to invest in altcoins for long term because it’s altcoins is highly volatile, it’s quite difficult to predict because we don’t know what will happened in the next 3 years. I want to trust only BTC for the 5-6 years not altcoins. If you’re focused on altcoins, you can include some old coins as like Matic,Sol,Cardano.

The most reliable coins among altcoins are Ethereum and (BNB) these two coins are used by people with a lot of confidence. Ethereum and (BNB) these coins are very risk-free to invest. Don't like long-term altcoins other than ETH. I don't have much confidence in new altcoins. Because I think it has potential for harm. But we who are new should invest from altcoins to Bitcoin. For beginners it is better to use BTC in the first place because success can come through it.

SUI might be really bad investment honestly, the coin itself has went downhill ever since it get listed in the exchange because the demand already getting drained out
of the market when they decided that they gonna make some massive presale.
I think the better solution should be the other coin like arbitrum which ecosystem still grow even till this day, and the upcoming second layer solution that is those
coins like zksync in which hasn't even reached its potential, let alone that, it hasn't even getting listed, maybe you should also try investing at presale as well.

As you mentioned that you have already a good amount investment on bitcoin and now you are looking for alternatives coin now for investment so I will not say to you Bitcoin again. Also you have invested in BNB and Ethereum which are good choice alt coins. Now that you want to spend this $600 for the long term, I would tell you to add Litecoin and Polygon (matic) to your list because they are also reliable altcoins for the long term.

Adding LTC and Polygon to your list as potential altcoin investments can be a reasonable consideration.

The downside of cryptocurrency investments is that they are subject to market volatility and risk. Any altcoin's performance can be unpredictable, so if you're considering investing, be sure to conduct thorough studies and consider your comfort level with risk. Follow these altcoins' progress, changes, and market trends to make smart decisions. You should also diversify your portfolio beyond just a few altcoins and allocate your investments according to your risk appetite and investment goals. In addition to consulting with a financial advisor or conducting extensive research, you can gain additional insight based on your unique situation.
Focus on Layer 1 type of coins on which i would say that this is something that would really be that wise to do so. It might be giving up some guarantees that you would make profits specially on long term holds.
This is why if you do have that kind of consideration on choosing those top L1's in the market then you would be having  the potential on those potential profits in the future but of course there's no such thing about guarantees because we know that no one really knows on what would happen in the future. It all matters with the demand and recognition of such project because if this thing isnt present then
it would really be definitely be having that huge impact when it comes into its value. Take up the risks and be wary of it so that you wouldnt really be that expecting or anticipating  that much.
This market is truly unpredictable and there's no one would be able to know on which one would survive and which one would pass away.

Well keep buying bitcoin then!  Just kidding.  Actually a good project I have been looking into is polygon/matic.  Lots of good things coming from that group and the coin already pulled back a ton from its ath like most coins so now is probably a good time to get into it.  Either way good luck in your altcoin adventure Smiley

I will advise him if this was his first attempt then he should probably start or begins with bitcoin instead of altcoins till he has enough experience to withstand the challenges on altcoins because of the risk of loosing his entire money or investment if the project eventually fails, so i may like to put it this way that altcoins are for the thicker skinned gangs clubs who thinks they are it enough for taking any risk on investment.

This is the time and when there is an opportunity I feel it needs to be used,
there is no doubt that Matic is a good project and it is also still growing,
for long term investment it will be profitable.

Aren't there many other altcoins that have good potential in the future? Why not choose Ethereum, BNB or Solana which is not inferior to Polygon.
But I also don't really recommend that you listen to my advice. If you are sure then it is your own responsibility. The main fixed long-term investment is Bitcoin, but for safer altcoins is the top altcoin that is Ethereum and can also be diversified in several altcoins that have good potential. Don't invest in memecoin that just appeared at this time, because it will only give you a loss if you only enter at a high price.

Op you can invest on any altcoin but invest what you can loss. Since you have invested in Bitcoin, BNB and ETH you have to rest and invest on those ones more because the new altcoins have no guarantee at the moment. And they are not decentralized assets which you control your found and rely on. Now everyone who know how to do programming and develop site want to create digital currencies. So we have to be careful in the altcoins investment. These HOOk/SUI/ARB and ID are new altcoins  are new to the system and I have not heard about them before.
I'd change my mind about "only invest the amount that we can afford to lose" but rather thinking about how to grow my money. Because losing money in investing is only an option and I know we can find a way to avoid it. That is why I'd change it to " invest only in potential coins". In this way, we can get at least a bigger chance not to lose any amount but instead, the possibility to earn more. It is encouraged to have deep market research and carefully analyze the trend before investing as this is the way to have a safe investment.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
I think SUI is good, investors and developers are very focused on this project. This project is only 46 days after listing on CMC. Just enter SUI because the price is still very affordable $ 1.19
SUI is a new Binance listed token And its marketcap is still very low so it may do well going forward but not strongly. But op's investing his entire $600 focusing only on SUI is high risk and should be looking at other altcoins as well. I'm very scared to invest in altcoins so I don't recommend it to anyone.  And for this reason I do not want to talk about any altcoin here.  Because I lost a lot of money by investing in altcoin without understanding
"Investing without understanding" is basically what makes it go wrong in the first place, you can't gamble with your money in the cryptocurrency market as it is not gambling if you want to gamble, it's simply better if you go play some slots which might give you a pretty high multiplier but investing in a project without any understanding or research will leave you with nothing.

Investing in new altcoins needs proper research and understanding of the projects and if someone thinks they can't do that, they should simply stick with the old and trusted ones like ETH, BNB, and some more that are doing well at the moment, and have been doing well in the past too.

Very nice point, investing is not the same with gambling where you can just put your money and wait for the outcome. It's better to invest
if you have good knowledge about the project that you are staking your money.

With good understanding, you can pinpoint reasons why you will support the asset and how long you are projecting to harvest your profits.

It's a matter of good research and proper expectations when you pick coins to invest your hard-earned investment.

I have some ATOM and MATIC which i see as safer alts, and a small bag of ROSE as a moonshot, but otherwise it’s mostly ETH and BTC.
I started the opposite way but quickly changed course because I felt happier with smaller returns on safer coins.
I think you prefer to minimize the risk which is a good thing too,
Bitcoin and Ethereum are proven to be two coins that need not be doubted and for long term investment it is the right choice because it is safer,
even so it does not mean that when we take a bigger risk it is a mistake because everyone has their own considerations.
It is good to take risk while investing but investing in the wrong coin can lead to big problems. I think it is very safe to invest in these two coins bitcoin and ethereum. it has low chance of losing big money. if you invest in these two coin and wait for a bit long. there will be a chance of good amount of profit. but if you think about another altcoins then you should keep focus in multiple coins like TRX, MATIC, WAVES, SOL etc. these coins has also potential to do well in the future market. but remember that you shouldn’t invest your whole money only for a single coin.
Yes I agree with you and the altcoins you mentioned are very potential coins and hopefully will do well in the future. Investing in altcoins is not bad, there are many good things to gain from it.  Because it can be pumped a lot in a short time, if there is any kind of officials potential update or news, it does not take time to pump the altcoin. There are many stories of people who have achieved great things by investing in altcoins.  But of course investing in the right place is a big thing which is not possible for everyone. and this is why most of the investors face losses
