ROFL at all these newbs that just got into crypto, throwing out the names of all these chains except for Litecoin, Namecoin, PPC, or XPM Cheesy

I like how this person thinks that he is a genius because he has been here longer than most people, but he would be better off judging people by their ideas not their age... That is how corporate America works

BTW I can't believe that you even put XPM out there.  It is a complete and utter scam.

I know they all think doge and other types of altcoin are going to worth millionaires even though litecoin and namecoin has already been successful.

Why would I want to invest in an altcoin that already has already successful? And honestly define successful? They had a couple weeks of fame and now they're just about done. They'll exist and maybe have little spikes here and there, but don't expect to invest and be rolling in it in a couple weeks. Besides, Litecoins's value has been steady dropping the past month and I don't see it shooting back up anytime soon. Same deal with Namecoin, which imho is a stupid name and that's one of the most important parts of any coin.

I threw like 30 usd into Doge for a few reasons. One, the name. While I don't think the name will be adopted by major businesses and the professional world, the internet community is TIGHT. Everybody knows Doge, like it's familiar. It just kind of speaks to internet culture. It's not like Earthcoin or Ethereum or however you spell it which just seems like they're trying to sound cool. Two, again, the community. The reddit forum for it is really active, and I feel like it just kind of captures a large portion of the internet population. It would make sense if, years from now, you had Bitcoin for your professional, business transactions and finances, and Dogecoin for your personal transactions and finances. There's definitely room for more than one cryptocurrency in a lasting perspective. Finally, I think that while functionality is important, that's not what people look at when they go to buy a coin. They buy because their friend or family member told them about it; and that again goes back to community.

The first crypto-currency to become a platform will blow up.

By platform I mean peer-to-peer decentralized exchange.

After that, all altcoins will be obsolete. You will have no choice but use the crypto-platform.

Looking to maybe exchange my investment in bitcoins to an alternate cryptocurrency; one thats liable to blow up like bitcoins did. Any opinions on the up and comers? I've heard good things about Doge and Quark, but I wouldn't know for sure as I'm fairly new to this. Thanks for any and all replies!

Take a look at the list of coins on coinmarketcap.com and look for those that are undervalued. The trick is to find coins that have a disconnect between underlying fundamentals and market price. Do your homework and realize that coin value is derived from 1.) coin name, 2.) quality of community, and 3.) developer genius.

Simply read, study, and research, then find the coins that the market has not found yet and you'll have the future winners. IMO

It's strange that there are so many haters and belivers for Dogecoin. Just shows the impact of this coin .... and haters gonna die  Grin Grin Grin   (in sense of , they will be belivers soon Wink)

I doubt that any time soon. And just when somebody criticises a coin it doesn't mean that they are 'haters'. Haters is a term morons use so it goes well with Dogeholders.

I can't believe people still think DOGE is going to be the next big thing.  It already had it's time in the sun, and it's freshness date is already passed a week ago.  DOGE has no protection from getting DOGE-ed by the next meme-backed coin.
The meme coins will all eventually dilute each other out to dust, arbing in and out of one another until all get driven back down to 1 satoshi each and forgotten.  Novelties that all popped once then faded into the internet's background noise.

Good hypothesis, but I doubt the whales heavily invested in DOGE would let that happen for the own sake. Coins have already come and go trying to copy the DOGE craze and have already failed.

Well DOGE would never cross BTC's current price, but its gonna soon have more volume than BTC. (and you know what happens then)

The other day DOGE had volume of 20k BTC while BTC had 7k BTC volume

Considering fact that Doge recently  landed on second place with Hashrate overthrowing LTC I would say that next few months may be very surprising for many.

Plus, if they ever want to go really mainstream, they can just soften the "G" in Doge like people do with Target pronounced as "Tarjay". Voila! Instantly more expensive and exclusive sounding  Grin

How many total coins doen DOGE have?

Over time I'd say worldcoin.. has an amazing community and is really starting to promote its self.

I agree. WDC is looking strong. Strong name, highly adoptable mainstream. Quick. Very good new wallet.
Besides Worldcoin will be at Scharmbeck soon (maybe it is already). I am holding my worldcoin close. Have been for the last 6 months. Wink

Worldcoin is back at MCXNow again. The reopened trading just undera week ago. Well over 100 BTC volume.
