i think no need to pump ETH. it will be pumped itself when investors come to invest on many ICO's.
They need to buy ETH to participate on ICO's. I am sure the beginning of year ETH price was falling because it was just a correction for ETH.

There is no doubt in my mind that the price of ethereum is going to grow, but you need to be patient just a few months ago we witnessed the biggest bull market in the entire history of cryptocurrencies and it is very unlikely that we are going to see another bull run like that so soon, it will probably take a few years so keep holding until that happens.

There is still a change for eth to pump more. In last year we seen eth price goes to 1k usd and its very possible to reach that value this 2018 and maybe go beyond. But as of now maybe its not possible. But I can assure it will go higher before 2019.

It is already pumping. We may have felt a slight dip because of all the FUD concerning the SEC regarding Ethereum as a security but that is over now and value is rising again.

Pump and dump is really normal, I mean, even in a stock market which have really big capital sometimes have its own pumps and dumps, it's just an ordinary price manipulation that now has considered "organic".
Making it illegal won't work since many people also looking to earn some profits by joining this pump and dump train. Also, something that has value will eventually drop its value or rising.

I think its possible becuase the market is now good and all most coin price is up . last couple of days eth price significantly increasing so if that continue then eth price easily hit 2 k but it need a time .

It is possible to pump eth price, the pump can happen when there is good news about eth, once the good news hit the space, people will start buying the coin and before you know it, the price is already pumping and the pump can happen at any moment in time. So continue holding your eth.

During the last couple of days the price has been moving erratically and I was actually convinced that someone, somewhere was actually manipulating the price of ethereum but now when I look at it, I think it is just normal market movements and with the recovery, I think that it is just trying to find its footing in the market which is what's going on so I don't think anyone needs to pump it, it will do fine on its own.

For me i don't think there is a way ethereum can rise without bitcoin, because with the way things are this day, if bitcoin is not rising ethereum will also stay put. The Ethereum depends on bitcoin price for some reason.
