This is my updated portfolio:

Invested a bit more, and with the profit buying up more coins which have some potential in the long term or to sell for a small profit Wink

BTC is rising greatly as well!

I am a patient player Cheesy So, not worried about quick profit. Fine with long term vision Cheesy

PIVX
Burst
NXT
ARDR
DCR
Golem
AMP
EXP
ETC
GAME

If you're going for long term vision, I'd add BTC to your list. If cryptocurrencies reach mainstream (which they will), Bitcoin is going to have the widest adoption rate by a large margin. But maybe you already own BTC and you were asking about altcoins. So regarding your list:

  • Beware of the transition of NXT to Ardor. I believe it will happen in June and it's likely that NXT will keep a slow ascendent trend until the transition, then it will suffer a steep decline.
  • I'd consider adding ETH next to my ETC, as it might have better chances to grow as an ecosystem on the medium to long term.
  • I'd consider adding MaidSafe next to my Burst, as they have a better chance to deliver on a similar promise (older project, somewhat proven track record).
  • GNT looks like an interesting idea, the main question is whether the teams is experienced enough to execute it properly.
  • I'd exercise caution with regards to EXP, as their team seems biased towards marketing at the expense of active development.
  • DCR looks like a strong contender in the mid-run, as it has already figured out one of Bitcoin's biggest hurdles today: a system of decentralized governance. It might grow on the short term as well as v1.0 release will happen on Apr 25th.
  • PIVX: i don't understand the hype.
  • GAME: might fly for a while because of the huge entertainment market, but then again - why wouldn't the game developers use Bitcoin instead?

You might also consider NEM because of their good track record, their mixture of public and private chains and increasing adoption (on prototypes & proofs of concept) by a few governmental institutions in Asia and Europe.

Hey guys,

I just started trading cryptocurrency, and the following are my coins:

The top 6 are bought for long term holding, and the rest 6 are to sell when there is a good high point.

I am not a day trader, I am happy to bad the profit in future.

Any suggestions on the coins I have or any good coins I am missing out?

Good thing you don't forget NEM. If you able to bought those coins at around 500 sats month ago, you are in profit now as it was reaches to close to 3000 sats this past days.

But don't take NEM for short term trades as I considered it for long term holding purposes.

Any coin on poloniex is already having the middle reach, either its going down and dying like many that was delisted by polo lately or the ones at the top that keeps going up constantly.
However if you check the other exchanges like bittrex or liquo than you may find some gold, I think PivX will be great but its dropping in price by a lot lately, hopefully it will recover, try to find stuff like that for yourself.

On reading all these, I am thinking to add these coins as well to my portfolio. Not huge amount, just with test amount for each. I am a patient player Cheesy So, not worried about quick profit. Fine with long term vision Cheesy

PIVX
Burst
NXT
ARDR
DCR
Golem
AMP
EXP
ETC
GAME

Any coins to remove from these? Anything better to swap with?

I use Poloniex, so please let me know coins on these. There are many coins which are not in Polo which was there in the comments.

Hi, try researching about humaniq. Humaniw has a big potential as its main goal is to prioritize unbanked environment to connect to the economy. This will be a big project as it will help a lot of people.

I think Decred (DCR) will get more and more momentum moving forward. It's designed to address what I believe to be today's biggest challenge of Bitcoin: a system of governance.

On the short term, the price might go up because of the forthcoming v1.0 release on April 25. On the longer term, when people start to understand its importance, I can see the price rising to much more than it's currently valued.

NXT/Ardor.

Why?

If you're a speculator, the price could rise before the Ardor snapshot in the next 3 months. It could stall at the current level too, it's a speculation. If you're a believer in decentralized cryptocurrency platforms, Nxt is one such platform with a long track record by cryptocurrency standards. If you're a programmer, Nxt is super easy to use for applications that require decentralized censorship-free communication. If you're a business, Nxt has a cool toolset to run crowdfunding campaigns, dividend payments, etc. If you're none of those, you probably should find your own compelling reasons or shouldn't buy at all.

If any of the coin that are on the top 15 and not yet on your list then you should add it more to get a complete list, coinmarketcap is still the best indicators if the coin is worth your money and time.

Your list looks nice. However, as someone already mentioned Byteball is also a very good option. In this vein, I would add IOTA as well since it uses a somewhat similar approach like Byteball: a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG).

In short, IOTA is a brand new and novel micro-transaction cryptotoken optimized for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Unlike the complex and heavy blockchains of Bitcoin and the like, which were designed with other uses in mind, IOTA is created to be as lightweight as possible, hence the name "IOTA" with emphasis on the ‘IoT’ part.

The number of connected devices that will permeate our modern landscape in the coming decade is estimated to be 50 billion. Each of these are designed to make the world a better and more seamless place for us. Tied to this fantastic promise are of course a ton of obstacles to be overcome, of which one major one is micro-transactions.

These connected IoT devices must be able to automatically pay miniscule amounts to one another in a frictionless manner without having to compromise on product design by introducing additional hardware. This is why IOTA was conceived.

While it was developed as a solution to scalability issues faced in IoT, the underlying protocol is agnostic and can be applied in any other use-cases that utilize micro-transactions. In order to achieve these audacious goals IOTA’s design diverged radically from blockchain cryptocurrencies.

It still retains the core principle ideas of the distributed consensus blockchain, but in order to be able to scale to the size of the coming Internet-of-Things ecosystem with tens of billions of devices that are connected to each other, it needed to be very lightweight and efficient. This problem is solved by IOTA’s core innovation: the tangle, which is a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG).

I suggest you to hold some KMD (komodo) and Gbytes (Byteball) because both have unique consensus mechanism and application. They are cheap right now so this is perfect time to get some for both short and long term holding.
Byteball has reached $151/Gbyte, the most highest rate altcoins obviously. This coin is the most important coin which you missed it.
I don't know, how far byteball could rise and it may be second position for a long time since Dash reach $110.
When I remember byteball at $65/Gbyte, it makes me like' woooww_ to see how fast it grow, 38.37% increase within 24 hours, amazing.

XRB is a good Coin Shocked, if you can use this coin with Mercatox Exchanger. Most probably this coin is to be hit in some days later.
Already it's candidate for vote from Bitcoin forum.

i think your list is good to hold but if you see that the price is increase suddenly, then you can sold it to make profit, but for the other coins, i think you need to take a look and try to make analysis so you can make more profit.

Synereo AMP and Expanse. AMP is a decentralized social media network with a beta release set for June.  Expanse is a heavily modified fork of Ethereum, 90% of the supply is controlled by the community, only 6 million coins in circulation and it's still being traded at only $0.70.

You're holding a lot of good coins right now though so I wouldn't worry about it much. I'm sure that ETH will be worth way more than $50 in the future.

EXP is another good coins that OP missed and i think he can buy it after he makes some analysis with the coins and try to hold it for a while.

yeah obviously bitcoin! Shocked

Ofcourse, I am holding a huge amount in BTC. I do trading for only 10-20% of my BTC equivalent.

LTC just recently had a good news, so it's really jumping well.
ok then, this is even better.
specially since Litecoin is on the rise and also bitcoin is on the rise these days, that would be like double profit.

Also, I have some coins in ICO Humaniq

I never liked any ICO. it is way too risky in my opinion.

Good list you got there.
In terms of good coins that are missing from the list, I feel Decred is one with good potential that you missed out on.
If you want more, Golem is another one, and one more that is bringing a lot profits to to its investors is PIVX, though it is not available at poloniex as of yet but its also good one for short term.
