Does anybody actually makes any money from them? I mean, what's the point of collecting these airdrops if from what I'm seeing most of them are in fact worthless or have such a low price that you would need thousands of them only to exchange it for few cents. And most likely it will be almost impossible to sell them on any exchanges as no one would want to buy them from you. So is it pure crypto enthusiasts collecting and challenge of who is going to have more random tokens or am I missing something?
I remember a story from a user, who just this year remembered, that he applied for the NEM airdrop back in the days. Synced the wallet, > 2 Million of NEM in there.
Give it time, there is no coin that goes from 0 to 100 in 1 week, think longterm. Most airdrop coins won't have any significant value by the end of the year, a lot of them won't even exist any more. But there will be coins, that will have some value in the future. Just collect them and forget about them as soon as they arrive in your wallet.
Another point is - I don't know where you live - that, in some parts of the world, even 0.02 ETH is a lot of money. So if you join 10 airdrops per month and sell each of them for an average of 0.02 ETH, you have 0.2 ETH, which is a lot of money in some countries.
