You can look for it in the theread bounty because there are lots of old bounties / airdrops that are new so you can choose which project you like, you can also join several channels or grub on telegram, as far as I remember, there were several telegram groups that were focused provide information about airdrops, referral airdrops and recently released project bounties. And like some of the posts that suggest you search on Twitter it seems like a good idea and you can do it to find airdrops, but my advice, if you want to follow an airdrop, you should research it first so you don't get caught with an airdrop scam.

Your best bet is going to the bounty section to see if they are giving free tokens or coins there. You can also check the ANN section and look for titles with "Airdrop" in it because this projects will give coins for free but sometimes they give task you have to do to get some free coins.
If you are looking for an any projects that distribute a free coins try to search in the bounty and there awaits a lot of projects that are possible for you. But do not expect that all of the project pin there has the possibilities that will benefit you, there'll be no assurance of that so better look for a good one.
Check the bounties, tons of airdrops awaits you there. But don't you expect that there will be various of free money that will be given to you. Yep, they will distribute free tokens but there will be no assurance that they will have actual value if the projects succeeds. There's not that much effort anymore in airdrop and your expectation could fail you.

Just to add though, there are ways that these scammers can take advantage of this so called free coins or airdrops.
(a) you will get them, but you have to submit your personal info. Not good as you don't know what they are going to do with your data, it might be sold to dark market
(b) they are scam airdrops that will ask you to deposit ETH first before they will distribute it, so again, another MO by scammers
(c) those airdrop tokens are worthless in the long run
So be careful on what airdrops you are going to join, you don't want to be the next victim here.

If you are looking for Airdrops, it is better to join telegram group that is solely focus on airdrop project or subscribe to their newsletter, gone are the days when you have good projects distributing their tokens free of charge, good projects now are oversubscribe by VC's
There are so many projects currently doing airdrops or giving tokens for free to members who join you can get bounties or you can find them on some airdrop sites or on telegram airdrop
