The only reason I bought a ps3 recently was because of the last of us and it was worth every $ I spent I have played around about 6 times now.
For me it really doesn't seem worth it. No game will. It'll probably take at least 40 really good games to buy any console. PC gaming is the way to go and only one game won't change this statement.

One of the reasons I was looking for a emulator I wouldn't play many other games on the console and would probably end up in selling it after I get bored of the game maybe the developers are planning on making a pc version of the game.
There is no emulator that will properly emulate PS3 games at this time.  PC's aren't powerful enough to emulate the PS3, and won't be for years to come.  It was only recently that PC's became fast enough to emulate the PS2 well, and the PS2 is (obviously) far behind what the PS3 is capable of.

My advice is this:  Buy a used PS3, and a used copy of The Last Of Us.  Play through it, then sell it all again.  You won't lose much, if anything, if you don't save it for long.

TL;DR version for everyone, Current PC power is too low to fully emulate PS3 games. Stop searching.

Really? I don't know much about console or PC gaming but I find that hard to believe.

Agreed. Used PS3+Last of us won't cost too much and maybe you even will save it for yourself since there are a lot of good games such as GTA5, GoW etc.

I've watched the last of us being played from start to finish and it really did play with my emotions and I was addicted and watched it two times after that now I just want to get the feel of playing it to even though I know the story I would love to play it.

WIth the PS4 released you will be able to pick up a ton of second hand PS3's  for decent prices.
Why spend so much time on emulation which will always be laggy and buggy.?

I really want to play the last of us but don't want to buy a new console just to play that game no other games interest me but it was crowned best game of 2013 and I have only heard positive reviews about the game. So are there any emulators?

The Last of Us was amazing. So was Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain. I think those games alone and others like Max Payne 3, God of War 3, GTAV, etc all justify a PS3's price tag if you enjoy videogames.

No emulators for PS3 that I know of. But it's pretty cheap by now, like $100, you're gonna be a bitcoin millionaire don't be so cheap!

My pc is pretty good but I don't think there is any confirmed emulators so looks like I'll have to buy a ps3 if only it was on the ps4.

Even if you get a working emulator, you'll still need a beefy rig since they eat uo resources pretty fast.
