If this ICO was a money grabbing scam, they would not have capped their coin sales at $40M. Heck, they have 11 more days to go at this point, if they were a bunch of scammers they would just keep letting the money flow in.  But seeing the team that they have involved, I seriously doubt some of their members that have a good reputation with other successful ventures would want to be involved in a scam.  So I believe they have a team that is good on their intent of making this a successful venture.
Totally agree with this! No scam would shut down a money flowing stream coming their way.

307,808 users.

4,411,590,293 ETN sold

Ethereum raised 42,058.3100

Bitcoin raised 4,872.1600

What does this all mean?

Total dollars according to Coinbase now = 28,793,130.24 + 12,122,797.92 = 40,915,928.16

I have significant holdings.....and I'm not going to sell in the first year.

I'm new to this, but this is the one that caught my attention and convinced me to get into the crytpo market. I've been aware of bitcoin, but who knew that was going to happen?

Demand is demand. People were still trying to buy electroneum after they hit the hardcap. Thoughts?

Will be dumped heavily, large referral comissions and bonusses = insta ROI so it will be dumped.

I will hold for a year though and see what happens. Maybe if the price is right I will buy some more in the mass dumps.

Kind of dissapointing is how over-hyped it got. Hype is good but overhype is to much. I even saw people who don't actually hold or trade crypto promote this just because of the referral bonusses advertising that you can make easy 3700x gain comparing it to Ethereum Bull run.
Which is fucking ridiculous ofcourse...

I bet on this ICO because this project is sure to be successful and they will surely have product that will work really in the future. I think the concept of this project is very good and in the future it will be applied extensively to the miner

Mining on Mobile hasn't been done but there is other project that try as well do this thing, no one heard about it here because is on penny stock in Poland, on New Connect - company name BitEvil - EraCoin. It's a bankster version of Electroneum.

Will Electroneum be successful? Hard to say, no one did this before, and when I read first time Etherum thread for me was so futuristic I didn't even follow that project and look where is today...

I will wait until Electroneum hits exchanges and if price drop to floor I may buy some. I burn myself with super hyped Monetha ICO and now must wait (800$ loss)

Sure, there are plenty that are only looking to pump and dump which up front at opening might even drop the price.  Who knows.

I bought some Electroneum.  But I only invested an amount that I can afford to lose. I want to see what it does after opening and throughout the year to continue investing more.

Will this be successful?  I don't know. I can see that they have a legitimate business team and an idea that could work.  But after opening on November 1st, they still have lots of work to do.  I wouldn't be looking for this crypto to do anything right away.  It's a long term coin.  Their work is only beginning.  For it to be successful, they would have to get this integrated into the gaming and casino industry as claimed and also get mass users to adopt it and use it. At that point, which could be years down the road, it might be successful and grown leaps and bounds in price.

I invested in them because I could tell their business team was legit with a true intent on trying to get this coin to succeed.  And they have identified a large market they are going after.  Combine the two together, you just might have a successful venture.  Maybe.  Even if it jumps on opening or jumps months down the road, I'm in for the long.

Agree with the above. The thing is that there is no easy to afford and access cryptocurrency for the masses. Only 3m people are owner/users of BTC for example.
I hope to pump and dump, then buy back in to hopefully multiply my original stake - and I invested a more than a couple of thousand €.

Defo longer term..

Pump and dump. Mining with a phone is just not going to happen.

The mobile mining is just an emulator. Real mining will be done on pcs..

The thing with Electroneum is that the idea seems like a good idea for people to mine coins, but I am not f*cking up my 1000$ phone with mining. Battery life decreases by 200x so you phone will be useless in a year or so  Roll Eyes Its just not worth it.

It's not mining (mobile). They basicaly reward you based on your phone spec. There is no processing going on and it won't affect your battery. The real mining is done on desktops. Mobile mining is kind of fake but I can see why they did that. The whole mobile mining thing is designed to get newbies involved that is all.

I should add that the potential numbers on mobile mining mean the rewards will be very small. It's going to be a tricky ballance to get right. The upside (for us all) is if it works we could have a lot more people exposed to crypto's and we need that for a number of reasons.

Electroneum did well in the ICO. Maybe it can help Bitcoin gets more value, as more people would like to buy Bitcoin with Electroneum? If there is lots of exchanges of Electroneum with other coins, it can do well. But it doesn't have special features, appart it can be mined with a smartphone.

I'm in two minds about it. The mobile mining is not mining at all. It's a gimmick aimed at people who are not currently in cryptos but it does have the potential to bring a lot of people in which is good at could appeal to a certain crowd. I still see issues on this front though. A lot depends on if they can get gaming companies on board and spread it about a bit later on. With it selling out I'm sure there will be plenty of demand to buy before the inevitible dump. If they hit the marketing straight away maybe the dump wont be so bad. The plus side marketing is one thing that this company will do well. Who knows? I don't but I have seen worse bets.

With proper marketing mobile mining could become a fad with those who dont own Crypto yet. Other than that its just a bump & dump coin ready to pillage newcomers.

I predict this will have a short term spike like everything else then fade away.  Currently it's the flavor of the month.  Do some reading, months ago it was Shift, ARK. Golem, etc, etc.  How often do you see threads about those now?  It will stop being hyped soon like everything else.

The guys running around saying 100x by Christmas are absolutely asinine.

I expect it to raise in first release months. Possible pump & dump later. I don't see it as long term investment. I don't see any real world usage with it, phone mining isn't interesting at all.

Now all the tokens are sold out. As I see in social medias seems that it is very attractive for investors. I don't think it can compete with Bitcoin or Ethereum, but you can make a good profit in both short-term and long-term.

Give us your thought about Electroneum? Is the coin worth an investment? Already invested a little after reading some articles about it. I hope it will be a good investment. Experts what do you think? Will it reach what bitcoin and ethereum reached now?

As usual like other hype projects around, it will just take short period of hype then it will dissappear.

It was very expected so I suggest to take advantage of the hype and not eye for long term goals in the project.

I think it'll be a long time until we see much activity. The ICO struggled to sell out despite having something like 100,000 token buyers. This tells me lots of people were willing to buy, but only small amounts. It also tells me that there weren't many big buyers.
I think many people will wait and see what happens, there is great potential for it to spread quickly and have more users than most other crypto's, but I don't think there will be much of a price increase.
This maybe due to it being easy for people to get a hold of some (cheaper) themselves as oppose to needing specialist mining gear so fewer buy/sell trades?
