Faucets is the easiest way to get some mBTC free...

The easiest way to get some satoshis, sure, but it would take a hundred hour to earn one mBTC...

One of my favorite sites is to earn bitcoin:

http://www.tremorgames.com/index.php?action=shopbrowse&mode=category&categoryid=13 <---- not a referral link

As you can see 630 tremor coins will get you 0.001 btc.

Tremorgames is a GPT (Get Paid To) site, watch videos, complete offers, etc... and you can earn just from playing video games. Grin

I am not a gamer but it will be great to try other offers in that site. Thanks. Smiley

- wait until you become member level and go to service section to join signature campaign, it's very easy to get mBTC from this campaign (although you get paid by weekly / monthly)
- go to games and round section, keep on eye to giveaway thread that usually pop out there, if you are lucky, you can get free mBTC from there
- go to altcoin section, and look for bounty from profitable coin (and giveaway too, in external link usually)

Some altcoin forums also host giveaways, like Cryptocointalk and Coinzen.org.

Some can also be found on some altcoins' subreddit, most notably Dogecoin and Mintcoin.
yeah that's right
and these forums too :
http://bitcoingarden.tk/forum/index.php?board=2.0
http://altcoingiveaways.com/index.php?board=4.0
i suggest pay per vote to mintpal or bter, it's really worth sometimes

If you are a member, you can earn mbtc from signature campaigns very easily. Faucets are really a waste of time. Look around service forums and see if you can offer anyone a service in exchange for a few mbtc.

Go to "service" section and you may get some free cash to do something, for example : writing a feedback / comment will earn you $1 in bitcoin within 1-2 minutes, thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/050-easy-comment-on-banksworstfearcom-posts-678875
or find another good offer from other members, there are new offers almost every day

For the thread you linked, I believe the offer is over already, as it said "New offer starting 2014-07-07 until 2014-07-17"

I'm wondering if I can get my virtual hands on some millibitcoins (if anyone doesn't know, BTC0.001) within only a couple hours (2-5 hours) of time per millibitcoin. Anyone got any good ideas?
EDIT: I'm not asking for a free handout. I'm just wondering, maybe, if I can do something for maybe around BTC0.002 or so that I can do in a couple hours

I'm new to bitcoin, I first saw an ad about bitcoin sometime ago so I decided to do a little research of what's it all about. I found this ad about free daily bitcoins and I went ahead and signed up. I tried to convert the amount of bitcoins that I accumulated into USD but it's really not that much but since I don't do anything at all, no sweat. I get a daily email like this:

We have added the following daily coins to your balances:

FeatherCoin: 0.00002617717 FTC
Bitcoin: 0.00000001240 BTC
Litecoin: 0.00000035197 LTC
FedoraCoin: 0.42757479861 TIPS
InfiniteCoin: 0.02630257158 IFC
Dogecoin: 0.00059777642 DOGE

During the beta stage we will increase the daily amounts of each coin gradually and frequently.
Here's my referral link if any are interested: https://qoinpro.com/9c0d84178d8ea39a22e5f5d5cff86f32

I dont think quoinpro is worth it, just hearing from others who had a lot of referrals that still doesnt amount to anything.

not much in games/rounds anymore except 777 -- .0001 per day (you can post every 24 hours), so after 3 days you'll be able to get something after the transaction fee for withdrawal. Smiley

Off the top of my head I'd say check out the games and rounds section for some kind of promotion.  You may have to put in some bitcoin to get it depending on the promotion.  Be careful not to fall for anything that seems to good to be true.

there are still some giveaways in the "games and rounds" forum, but there used to be much more....

Weren't giveaways banned from the forum?

If I remember correctly, most of the giveaways in the games and round subsection requires you to sign-up to a gambling site, where you have to use the free coins there and you can't withdraw.

giveaway threads were banned from the "gambling" and "altcoin" forums. they are still allowed in the "games and rounds" forum.

on the latter, you are right, although 777 allows you to withdraw immediately.

you can mine..

it's not profitable but you can get some mBTC

you can do faucets,PTC, there was some chatroom that paid mBTC, it paid good actually..

can't remember its name..

There are many variables... just saying mining is not profitable is a bad general statement.

With low electricity cost's I am profitable on everything currently (or on way on a few).  Only thing I had to stop was GPU mining because of summer heat was no longer profitable.  Everyone should do own calculations.

that's true

I assumed the OP doesn't have any mining equipment and would mine with an average GPU
I'm assuming that would be unprofitable? Cheesy

Ahhh i can see what you meant now Smiley i thought you were saying not profitable for anyone.

Very true on GPU's for most sadly.
