The title was supposed to confuse bitcointalk users about a "NEW", "ANOTHER", "NOT AGAIN", "OH DAMN", "ORLY?" - ALT-COIN

but i guess it didnt work that way... Tongue

I'm sure it confused or had most fooled into thinking it was gonna be another crapcoin lol.

Ditto. I bet it had a few mods enter ready to angrily move it into altcoins  Grin.

And the Cryptsy staff investigated to see if they forgot to add some new coin to their portfolio.

I thought the same thing, but on further inspection its pretty crap-tastic.
The battery life is two years, with no way to change it, so you have to buy a new coin and then reenter all your info.

That breaks down to paying $50 a year at the full retail price (currently). $50 a year would probably be a little more palatable. The idea was great, execution poor - though if it takes off they will make money as every two years there is a product refresh.

Surely one will come out that can be recharged. Seems silly that it only lasts a couple of years.

Hate to burst the OP and posters' bubble, but if you search for 'coin' on this forum... My bad! Try 'onlycoin'.

lol.

they tried to take advantage the infamous bitcoin...

so they use the name "COIN"... when it has no relation to their product.

"A card that stores multiple CARDS".

'Coin'? Bit of a shit and confusing name for it haha, but does seem like a good idea (unless there's any security flaws or whatnot).

Some may argue that Bitcoin is also a confusing name lol.

Yeah, they should have named it "Card".

Yeah haha. At least that'd be better than just 'coin'. Lazy name really. they could've come up with something snazzy. I mean, even 'multicard' or something would be better.
