I would suggest you to do trading because by trading you can earn now and even after 3 year you can earn profit also earn experience by trading..
I think my first trading was around 2017. It should be 2 years plus now for me and I still trade to this day .
Back then, trading was very profitable and risky as well. Trading is still profitable for me today but not like before. I think learning with lots of practice on demo accounts and following great traders/analysts will help you.

Maybe I am not one of them because I have only joined crypto for the past 2 years. But I am sure those who already know crypto and start investing before 2017 must have had a very good experience because they have been involved in the biggest bull run in 2017 that has created new ATH for bitcoin.
IMO trading the crypto markets can be profitable and the trader will gain more knowledge with these experience. Investing experience is valuable for understanding the mechanism behind the crypto investing.
Yes, I started taking crypto investment serious in 2016 and invested some good money into it which profited me greatly during 2017 all time high, though 2018 bear market reduce the value of my portfolio but even up till now am still in good profit.
Experience is the best teacher, a trader with lots of experience knows how to make a good decision as they understand the market better.
Starting small is necessary, we can't go big without enough knowledge, that's too risky.
Like you said, timing is important, in bear market it's a good time to buy but choose a legit coin.
We can't exactly tell if the market is bearish or bullish as it only depends on our personal evaluation but experience would help us to determine it.

Every stage one passes through in trading gives one an opportunity to expand more. I am sure the experience many of gathered in the past on or before bull run is really giving us the courage now to decide in this period and know the best time to make a trade, be it short term trade or a long term trade. So there is no experience in life that is a waste.

I was like trading for a year now, and with my profit, I consider it the average because I haven't earn much by trading as I do not have enough time to observe the market and other altcoin's trend. Maybe this summer I could focus on my portfolio and try to increase my daily profit, 5 percent is enough.

Probably many have already expressed similar. Three years in cryptocurrency trading does not guarantee success. This is a relatively young market, very aggressive and cruel to those who do not insure their risks. Especially for margin trading, if there is no experience, I would not advise doing this. The result on this one will depend on the trader. Trading for 3 years will not guarantee profit because the market will move differently every year and not all traders are good enough to maximize their profit. I'm just trading a small amount of money and so far, its good for me I believe with a proper execution trader can earn big. I know crypto quite early, but don't invest much on them. By 2017, more investment will be made, so far my profit has been much higher than before. But maybe it was lucky that I pulled out a part before the market went into bear market

Whoever invested in Bitcoins or Ethereum 3 years ago could have become a rich man a long time ago and he doesn’t need to write about it.

No meyt its not easy as that to become succesful in trading/investing . alot of users did chose a coin correctly but why they still failed ? Its because they lack of experience . most of them are new commers that only heard of bitcoin because of the huge profit that they can potentially get but they dont consider the fact that bitcoin and other cryptos are too unstable and the price can go down at most times .

I have been trading stocks and forex before the advent of cryptocurrencies and I do have around 9 years trading experience. However I will said op should try and spend time to learn trade by himself and invest according to his own strategies as this market is highly risky and it is not good to follow other people views.
I was here knowing about crypto and didn't like traded for 3 years.. I only traded for like a year and a half and it is really profitable. I had some bad moments when I was acting like a greedy persons but that also made me earn good profits too.. I don't know whether you might get the same results as you can lose all your capital.. Be safe and be smart..
Many people get success, but it seems to me that trading is the place where you and I can really earn successfully and I think and I hope that it will still turn out to be really successful to fill great needs.

there must be many people who have been running this business for more than 3 years because crypto has been around since 2008 and the first crypto transaction occurred in 2009 so I'm sure there are even people who still use crypto since 2009 until now.
