Congratulations on your ranking up to full member. You have always been consistent with posting and joining discussions. That's one criteria to ranking up, whether or not you're in a signature campaign, join quality interactions.
Some users wake up after long periods of inactivity and apply for campaigns but are very likely to not get accepted.

Your tips are quite helpful and simple enough for anyone to adopt. One extra quality would be: find a niche for yourself. Pick a section, grow your knowledge in it and you can become renowned in that field.

Not your keys, not your coins!
I recommend OP to edit the term Mega thread to Spam Mega thread, that is more fitted with what usually happens in Mega thread. Most of posters join Mega threads to spam and get post counts.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
Don't wear a signature that forces you to be a shitposter/spamposter.

It's important to consider the boards/sections that campaign managers required for. I mean, choose the part that you're good at or allows you to make constructive posts. If not, you'll never enjoy what you discussed. And you'll (maybe have been) blacklisted/ignored by the sMeriters which will prevent you from rank up.

But Actually I never interested to chase for merits, if someone awards if for my contribution I would accept it gratefully.

Well, that's good to hear from you, I noticed some members who were very actively contributing in the forum by making informational threads but when they rank up to their desired rank, they then stop and calm a bit, glad to know you are not one of them.

just enjoy being an active in the forum and you'll surely rank up in time.

Your thread is good but imo it will be better to start threads that they can read to build up their knowledge of bitcoin, cryptocurrency and whatnot.
This is the section where newbies searching answers and tips for their queries so I added my experience and what should Do's abd Don'ts
It's a useful thread, friend. It should be very helpful for lower rank members like me.

Sure. Please recheck above, I mean the green mark. I have noted that the list is the translation from the quote.
Why I quote my post on the local board? To make sure the originality.  Wink

Grammarly is what my friend is using, he is not so fluent in english but he can comprehend well, and that tool is really useful to him.
I like to say congratulations to you for ranking up to full member now, when you are active in making good post, you'll be rewarded by our fellow members and most important from our merit sources, ranking up this days is really a challenge, unlike in our time where you only need activity and posts to rank up.

It's a useful thread, friend. It should be very helpful for lower rank members like me. Spammy posts make everything hard to be merited and rank up. The only way to improve the level is by making quality posts. Anyway, I have also little tips to make better posts and avoid being called by spam posts. Even if I'm also still trying to apply it, but why don't to share it.  Cheesy

I translate the quote above. See below:

Your posts are better if they have these criteria :

1. Useful.
It helps others or has value.

2. You write them with a correct grammatical function.

3. They are written in proper punctuation.

4. On topic.
They must be always related to topics.

5. Unique.
    Must be different than others.

6. No copy-paste/plagiarism.

7. Easy to understand.

In my opinion this post is the best motivation at the moment for everyone.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
Brand new00
Newbie10
Jr Member301
Member6010
Full Member120100
Sr. Member240250
Hero Member480500
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.

Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.

There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.

The Forum has provided facilities for everyone to achieve the highest rank. But only with one condition, namely by getting a number of merit that are quite in accordance with what has been determined by themmos.

When higher rankings are needed, users only need to make good, constructive, and high-quality posts. That is how the system works and that is the best way for many people to successfully increase their account ranking.

Newbies have been told what to do so many times, and if there are some of them not still doing it, then they have no intention of ranking up. "what to do newbies" is somewhat the most popular thread in the B and H section, it's not bad though, but if they are really learning from those threads then newbies by now should be making HQ/good threads, but it's difficult to see any doing that.

Your thread is good but imo it will be better to start threads that they can read to build up their knowledge of bitcoin, cryptocurrency and whatnot.

If Findingnemo could rank up then why you can't rank up. I'm just a noob in cryptos technical aspects. When the merit system was introduced I was a member ranked forum member who lacking much intensive knowledge about cryptocurrencies. But later I realized that you no need to be a pro to rank up, all you need to be someone who can contribute somewhat to the discussions happening on threads.

Just my tips for anyone to get away themselves from being called as a spammer:

  • Don't post if you don't have anything to say: Most people are doing this mistake when they enter into a discussion, they simply post some sentences in general, to get their post count to be increased but if you have this habit then you could never rank up.
  • Don't be lazy to read: Did you ever heard that intelligent people are good listeners? So get your knowledge increase by reading more and more contents as much as you can, more knowledge you gather the more chance to make a better suggestion while enters into a discussion
  • Get yourself into a discussion: If you are creating a thread or replying to a thread keep watching the thread for further replies for your post and keep the discussion get going until the solution to be found.
  • English is important: Yes, if you want to interact with someone on the internet you need to have basic writing and understanding skills of English or you never know what is happening in a thread and you will be stuck there forever.
  • Be yourself: Just concentrate on improving your knowledge with the things you are good at, like if you are a trader then read more things about trading strategies and how to tackle the different market condition of crypto then teach others the things you learned. You can't post something good and informative if you never give an effort towards it.
  • Avoid posting on Spam mega threads: even if you post some good post on 113th post chances of anyone would read will be less, so you can't expect to get merit for that good post.
  • Avoid posting wall of text: If you want to say something which takes bit more characters to express then cut down the characters into multiple lines or paragraphs because if we see something which is really long to read, most of the people will simply skip. We are lazy in this modern world. Grin

Misc tip: You can use Grammarly extension to correct your mistakes while writing a post like spelling mistakes, simple grammatical mistakes, punctuation marks.
