It good to look back into these threads where it do speculate about hitting up 10k and this is on post-bull run in 2017 which is really amazing that we did even go beyond these presumptions.
This thread might be old but its still relevant to make out some bumps to talk on what people do think in the past about future prices and this really proves out that anything can happen ahead.

In to your sentiment on treating up that this current price is just like what happen in post-bull run then i cant blame you out but dont expect too much that similar scenario would happen ahead.
Breaking 20k ath wont really be possible in short possible of time even if we are already half-way ahead there would be lots of bumpy rides ahead.

it is very possible is in the numbers 1000 USD at the end of this year. when talking about 10000 USD seems impossible. 10000 USD too high and far. there should be a positive sentiment and the remarkable news in order to achieve it.

Chances are it is going to be a lot of the people still holding from Mt. Gox cashing out finally, and then leaving their holdings for good, or at least for a while.

If we hit $1.2k again, we'll see a dump, but then it will be almost like a clean slate and the price will move "naturally" from there, and no longer have the shadow of Mt. Gox hanging over it.

But anyway at $450 it need a rise of 22x aprox. but considering the halving only a rise of only 2x max. could be logical to think, So the rest 20x it may need much more time or a series of events or a mixture of both, so back to your example that event was a lot easier to reach than the number now so it remains unlikely in this year.

I think it is just you or a very very small number of people, i doubt the bitcoin price will be 10k this year, but i hope it will reach 1k even though it is really hard to believe.

it is definitely possible thing to happen in my opinion because the halving will make the price increase really far up because a lot of people will be buying bitcoins really fast

i think that it is possible to reach 10 thousand dollars this year and if this will not happen we will surely go to at least a new all time high that will make us a lot of money

Wow let's be a little bit realistic (even with bitcoin you will never know)
Hitting $10,000 this year is so hard in my opinion, it will takes 2-3 years with a constant positive growth to reach it, which isn't the case for the moment

Block halving is coming.

I hoping that the price will hit 10k value but obviously its impossible to hit that value for bitcoin.. and my speculation the price value will be double or will hit around 600-800 value,. if we are lucky to hit that price to day no matter what happen i will collect more bitcoins.. because dont have money to start buying more bitcoin. thats why i am trying hard in trading.. also collecting more mrai to sell it in trading site once they launch it..

No we are not gonna hit the 10k this year or the years after this one, I think its just not possible right now and its the question if this will ever be possible.
I think its maybe possible if the bitcoin will get a lot more media attention but this is far from now so I think this year its not possible and the coming 10 years also not.
