Most people have more money than they are willing to reveal that's why you have the impression people here don't invest. I'm sure that many signature campaign posters own a lot of coins. I saw some of them bragging they were able to get 1 coin a month purely from the campaigns.

im looking forward to joining the club in the future, but right now im only sitting at around 2 btc, almost 10% of the way there  Tongue.

Sounds like the rest of the 90% here lol.

I think most people are holding 5 btc average, and anything beyond 10 btc youre not average.

Yes, this is the sentiment I got as well from reading through the thread. I expected that people around here have more bitcoins quite honestly!

Me too, it is incredibly surprising how few bitcoins people own here. I can't tell whether it's because people here simply don't have the money or they don't want to put their money where their mouth is.

Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to reach 2 figures, every time I get close to 10 BTC I feel an uncontrollable urge to splurge  Undecided  It'd be awesome if I could reach $100,000 in Bitcoin someday though, at current rate that's around 308 BTC  Roll Eyes

Haha, dude just send the 10 btc to a cold wallet.

And then forget about bitcoin? 2 figures is really tempting tho, but just curious what would you splurge it on?  I mean I have the same urge as you, but never can think of what I`d want..besides a car?

Oh temptations are many lol and they seem to pop out of thin air every now and then. Like I'll be perfectly happy with my phone, monitor etc and then one afternoon while I'm innocently browsing Overstock or Newegg (just passing time) it'll hit me like Thor's hammer  Cheesy

own 21btc wasn't that amazing, you will fell worried with your wallet, always checking every 4 hours and you still scared from losing the btc, thats what i feel from my experience holdin 2.5 btc in my wallet  Grin

If you have that it may be better to just sell your coins and be done with it. I wouldn't want to lose sleep over my stash of coins because of that.

Just make sure you protect them well, put good paswords and store them safely and offline.

I plan hopefully on getting there within the next year or two. In this circumstance, it's just when to the right time to make a purchase and the patience to wait. I am not worried one bit because I know what and understand what I am investing in the future.

So you already owned 21 BTC once? Wow!
What happened? You sold the biggest part of it?Do you lost them?
Owning 2,5 BTC now is better than having zero.

Im group of "1million club" at year 2050
i hope it  Cheesy

1million club is not easy, if we are born as ordinary people

Exactly its never gonna easy to have 1million BTC in wallet, if you are only dependent on signature campaigns, and yes we would try our best to be a part of it, but its gonna be a long way to be there, to have 1 Million BTC in your wallet I think gambling is the only option which can take us to that level but it totally depends on luck and to win 1 million I think you should have a good amount of BTC to invest.

Mmm you guys need to check your math. OP is talking about 21 BTC, not 1 million BTC.. no one has 1 million BTC besides Satoshi I think.
If you have 21 BTC you are part of the 1 million club because only 1 million people can ever own 21 BTC thats what op is talking about, not 1 million BTC or USD..

I think there are around 200,000 ULTRA HIGH NET WORTH INDIVIDUALS (over 30 million USD net worth) in the world... the dream number I wish I could reach in BTC was 1/200,000 of total supply.

STEEP! Even at today's prices! Sad

The total market cap of all fiat currencies (~$60trn) split between 200k people is $300m each, not $30m. If bitcoin takes over all existing currencies you therefore only need one two-millionth of the supply in order to have $30m worth, which is only 10.5 coins.

So we should aim for the 10.5 coins. That is not a too hard target for most people. If we can save $100 a months, that is 30 months saving.

i was above the 1/500k club, but then sold a bunch, now i'm around that

i regret having sold those coins, but i needed the money so bad in the past

Ahhh, this sounds too familiar... and then there were the times when Bitcoin hadn't a high value and I paid coders with them... geeee....

Just recently found an old harddrive in my office (I had there about ten old computers mining in the good, old times) with a pretty big amount in Bitcoins. However, the password is lost, and so I just store the harddrive and hope for a divine intervention...
