L2 hasn't been doing so well, if you invest in bitcoin l2 why not invest in bitcoin directly, like as you said less risk, and still as profitable if not more.

if you see from the CMC it might make more sense to stay with the narrative driven coin, but the difficult thing is, narrative driven coin are kinda volatile, you just don't know which one gonna be a big hit, and sometime at the time you figured it out, market cap and tvl already overly inflated.

this altseason is kinda difficult, not all coin pumping, only certain narrative could make some big gain, even choosing coin that's within the narrative also hard.

Alt season is not in its greatest form because we aren't in the best price of Bitcoin of this cycle yet.
When it will be on its toes and wouldn't be the main point of the bull rally - we may see alts shine.
And I agree - it's always better invest in L1's, especially talking about BTC.

I held some of it at one point, I think I sold off at around x2 when it was trending on markets, but it had a significant growth afterward. I think there is still room for improvement for it, but I don't think it will have exponential price growth like it did initially

Maybe try looking out for new coins that have hype. Hype is what drives markets most of them time because people are here to make profits.

Evidently everyone is not here to always make profits, otherwise so-called "stable coins" which by mimicking fiat slowly but surely lose value, would not be so widely used.

So obviously there is use also for things that do not actually make profits, even things which, like fiat, can totally be relied upon to forever lose value.

Personally though I would prefer to at least use something that holds value, rather than something that forever can be relied upon to lose value, for whatever folks are using the mimick-fiats for.

I'm holding STX, though not a lot. It's a good token, but a bit disappointed with the progress being made by the blockchain. It seems to me they failed to attract the demand. It's showed from how their TVL is always stuck, and it never increased a lot like L2 based on ETH and SOL.

This makes me think BTC L2 may not perform as good as a few years ago. They lack of utilities, and demand. The dev has to do something new in order to attract the demand again.

Bitcoin performed very well, but STX does nothing.

The idea itself its interesting and it can work. Probably you need some time to make a profit...

I have bought few coins just as test. But immediately sold after a while due a small increase in value, and because I am a kind skeptical on a real profit at the end.
I mean, all PoS coin after a while start losing their value...

There are several projects using STX ticker listed on CoinMarketCap.

Could you clarify which specific STX project you’re referring to?

Stacks, a layer 2 on the Bitcoin blockchain

I see it now, the project seems to have good trading volume and is even listed on big exchanges. Looking at its two-year graph, there’s already been significant growth, maybe even comparable to Bitcoin. But if you had to choose, Bitcoin is still the safest and best choice overall.

We usually invest in altcoins hoping for massive returns, like x10 or x100. So, it depends on your plan, whether to sell this and reinvest in other altcoins where you believe you’re an early investor. Talking about AI projects, I’ve seen a lot of buzz around them, but it’s hard to say if they’ll meet the kind of profitability we’re expecting.

Hi, I've been holding STX for about a year now. It did have a good run along with all other crypto at the end of 2023 and then put in a reasonable performance during the Trump pump but nothing spectacular in November.
Seems to me very few are talking about about this project now. Seemed to me when I invested that layer 2 smart contracts on BTC would have a strong use case. Doesn't look like that narrative is widely shared. Should I switch to a more narrative driven coin, like something in AI? I get the feeling I would have a similar gain from holding BTC with a lot less risk. What are your thoughts?
Thanks
