ETH is fun to trade due to high volume and volatile price

no i'm not because even though Ethereum got pump several time ago and some people said Ethereum have bright future and can replace bitcoin but i would never use and trade these coin because i don't trust those bullshit and trade and hold bitcoin is more safer for me

I think it's actually safe to hold a bit of them all.

no, etheruem is a scam made in the way that the hype is overlooking the scam itself, besides they are good only for your bitcoin portfolio, i would not hold any alt for the time being and for any other time

Well as of now I sold all the Ethereums that I hold. I sold it all because I don't trust it and for me its profitable sine I got 3 whole ethereum from faucet when the price is still at 200k satoshi each.  Smiley I sold it because thats enough profit for me.  Grin

No I don't hold a single Ether.
And don't plan to do so in the future.
Ethereum will have way more problems to scale than Bitcoin.Plus it is highly centralized, premined coin where mostly the guys behind it, who runs it, will profit from.

Yes, I hodl a relatively small amount of ETH in addition to BTC. The reason why is simply speculation and the whole low risk, high potential reward thing. If ETH crashes and becomes worthless, then no big deal. I just lose an amount of money that was not such that I'd be bothered losing anyway. If however, for some reason, ETH does pan out to be something... then boom, goes the dynamite.

ETH was a great opportunity to make more btc/fiat, but that time has passed.

I dont hold any at this point but I will soon once this halving blows over and I can get in the game for using some of my profits.

Only reason why I would get in, is the technical aspect of the actual alt coin does that bitcoin will not get - which will be used in the future if it ever does get popular for work related / hiring etc.

I`m not gonna explain a wall of text but you can read Gavins small intro of it.

Not just that, but the reinforce prices will come from the DAO another alt coin that cant be mined or bought only traded through ether I belive.

I don't believe in it, but that reflects my ignorance of cryptocurrency in general and nothing of Ethereum itself.

I have speculated with it, but I didn't bet big and I didn't do it for long.  I hope it does change the world, but to me it's just another altcoin that's gotten mucho hypo.

I have never invested a single penny in Eth as I feel that this is not the right time to experiment with the investments, so I am investing  only in bitcoin at a moment.

I have a couple of ETH. Why? because I had some alts in the exchange, and I converted all my alts to ETH. Im up a couple %, it's not much, but I guess it can still rise a bit. I need more BTC and I need to trade. Ultimately I don't believe in ETH tho, for the reasons r0ach explained.

I don't. I don't know enough about it. It sounds like there's one hell of alot of stuff that still needs ironing out, if it can be done at all. And the scale of that pump kinda tells me that I won't know when the going stops being good. Do I wish I had gotten in? of course. Free money works for me.
Yeah I heard that the DOA is down and there is a huge centralization on the votes. And that in general people aren't voting and the centralization hurts the voting because those people can just decide what gets passed or not. LOL it's like government

Ethereum is an IPO scamcoin:

The Ethereum Paradox

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-ethereum-paradox-1361602

Why proof of stake has no value:

Since Satoshi did not solve the Byzantine generals problem, this means confirmations are completely arbitrary.  So why are two confirmations more useful in Bitcoin (PoW) than one?  Because it's an open entropy system where over a period of time, it's either unlikely or statistically impossible for someone to maintain a monopoly on block validation when there is no upper limit to confirmations.

Recursive systems like proof of stake tend to permanently monopolize block validation by design, with no real fault or state recovery to fix it once it goes off the rails.  The act of introducing interest compounds this problem even more.  This makes a proof of stake confirmation essentially worthless due to being a bounded entropy system.

On top of being worthless, proof of stake is also a permissioned ledger.  The purpose of mining in Bitcoin is to create a permanent decentralized exchange peg, which thus results in a permissionless system.
