Deceiving about mining feature and collect steal user data aren't good. Besides, power and internet cost could be higher than $1/month.

Hihi, you already pay for internet so that would not be an extra charge

Unless you use mobile data with limited cap.

but the thing with most apps is that even if you're making 1$ per month when you're nearly the minimum payout by magic you won't get any more ads to view to reach your minimum payout, it's the usual trick for 99% of the apps out there that claim to help you make money, mining or no mining.

I agree.

I do have in mind on how the hell these things do able to mine something if ASICS and GPU's arent really making profit due to high electricity cost and difficulty

Asics aren't making a profit?
If Asics would not make a profit mining would have stopped, instead the prices for Asics have skyrocketed and all the gear is already bought on pre-order till October. It's one thing saying that this app is a piece of uknowwhat but not with those arguments the S19pro is still profitable and would achieve ROI this year even at 20 cents per kwh.

Mining is just a word to make you download them app. they may upload your pics, or try to stolen your card info or your bitcoin private key.
don't download any unknown app, try to google it and don't believe any app that give you "free money"

you cant mine bitcoin and mining altcoin may be useless and does not give you any value.

Scammers use this just to make people look that they are legitimately mining and give small credit to see on how there mining app work but I'm sure in the end they will require their investor to invest more so that they can accumulate more power to mine bigger amount, this is totally scam that's why it's better not to try this since there's no way we can mine by using it.
Ever since the idea of mobile mining did exist i never really believe it since from the start.I do have in mind on how the hell these things do able to mine something if
ASICS and GPU's arent really making profit due to high electricity cost and difficulty then you would really be thinking that its impossible for a mobile
to do so.

This is why i dont really believe these kind of shit since from the beginning and newbie out there shouldnt really let themselves fool into this kind of mobile mining.

If it does exist then you are just simply dealing with those shit projects which arent really that relevant at all.
+1

those are just cover up and presumptions that they are actually doing mining but honestly or the truth those are just programs pretending to show mining activity even if its not.

You know why both Apple and Android app stores removed all of the apps related to on-device mining? It's because mining cryptocurrencies on your phone it harmful to it as well as not being profitable to any users even on the people that has a top of the line model. Mining cryptocurrencies aren't really intended for the hardware of your phone that when it does it's operation your phone's longevity will be affected primarily your battery because of the heat it generates on the process of mining crypto. Besides that there are also crypto mining apps that have been discovered to be a trojan horse for malware and also operations of unintended mining a.k.a. cryptojacking where the scammer is the one who is earning the crypto without your permission. You won't really gain anything from mining with your mobile phone as you won't earn anything and just reduce the lifespan of your phone so it's really not recommended to do so.

If you do your own research you'll find out that this kind of application or projects are not working anymore, it's been proven time and time again, there is no way an application can mine Bitcoin, it takes expensive mining rigs worth thousand of dollars to mine Bitcoin and you cannot mine alone you have to join a pool.

True, but would be the least evil plan tho. Still a significant difference from the others  Tongue
When looking from another angle it's not really bad but the problem is that it might be an avenue to trapped people's Bitcoin, because someone can wake-up any day any time and invent new thing positive or negative, now using app is new innovation and no one can give it a trial because we don't want to lose our Bitcoin, because we are not sure of application mining.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't touch that apk with a ten foot pole. "Mining" phone apps are definitely scam! Was just pointing out the less dangerous probable path.
But true, no one can guarantee it remains the same after some "security update" that steals all your funds.

Better not to download it since we don't know what is the other content inserted, also its enough for us to know that there's no mining app or any devices can mine bitcoin aside from legit mining hardwares so best to conclude that this is really a scam.

And I also believe that OP is the owner of that app and just posting it here so that it can gain possible attentions.
Maybe what you said is their interior motive to advertised the app here as you said, and to gather firm or to attracts people to start using the application so that peoples cryptocurrency will be missing, but if that's is some peoples objectives it's really bad ideology, because no one can lost he or her cryptocurrency and be happy, since many people has condemn it, I think the option is circulate the information to avoid people not to fall victims into phone app for mining.

I tried running the downloaded apk (not installed) file through VirusTotal but unfortunately it comes out with no significant results.

I have tons of empty emulators lying around so I  gave it a try.

First thing, it doesn't mine!
It just displays some random numbers, around 10kh/s, and counting earning in satoshi at a rate of 0.2sat/s which is not how mining would work at all, not even mentioning the fact that it doesn't use any of the cpu/gpu resources at all.

I had two antiviruses (licensed) run and scan the installed app, seems like none of them triggered anything so probably if something bad was in it it just got deactivated or the server from which it downloaded garbage is offline (the app was released 3 years ago). Funny, the app runs and counts your earning even if you start it with no internet connection  Grin

Not going to dig through the numbers as my head just spins from the numbers of zeros I have to count but I'm pretty sure something is totally wrong at a magnitude of thousands with what they claim, 10kh/s earning you 20 000 sat/day.

In conclusion, waste of time!

Hi
Am well aware of the fact that there are a lot of mining apps in the app store and at the same time many apps available on the Google apk. It is indeed very widespread and people do download it often but just let me ask you a small question.
if it was this easy to mine coins on mobile through apps , won't all of us would mine bitcoins the same way ? All of us would be miners.
These apps are not only lying to people but at the same time might be harmful for you! Do not download such apps. If you do want to mine some coins then try and make an investment in : Mining machine
There are a variety of them available ! Online even on amazon, quite a feat now. They are made in China mostly and transported to other countries. Therefore this would be the way to go if you do want to try things like this.

Again : do not give any permission to such apps , do not download such apps they might use your information.

this would still be a scam becaue it is deceiving the users into thinking they are installing a "mining" app but in reality there is no mining involved at all.
if by "app" we are talking about something you install on your phone then definitely there is no mining.

That is a fake. I do not believe in that app because as fast as I know, if you want to mine bitcoin, you need to use hardware such as S19 or graphic card, which can run all day long without stop. Just imagine, if you use that app on your mobile phone, your phone will hot, and sooner or later, it can damage and maybe your mobile phone can get burn. But if you want to try that app, just go ahead, but I warn you about the malware or virus inside that app. If so, your data will be sent to the creator and he will steal and use it for his purposes.

  - good one: has ads and pays few satoshi per view. Perhaps you would earn $1 worth every few months if you really put your mind to it

I know it cant be possible to have such app and even though such exist people will not take a risk to mine their Bitcoin because it's scarring, because the possibility of losing your crypto is just at close range, so from my perspective it's not really nice to mine with application, its better to mine with manual machine which we are conversant with, than app that can take off everything with short time, and at times those application are created for negative intention which no one can tell.

I tried running the downloaded apk (not installed) file through VirusTotal but unfortunately it comes out with no significant results. This is by no means a safeguard, as sheer logic and precaution on installing apks is way better than testing the heuristics detected by an antivirus.

As mentioned, in all likelihood, the app will nick whatever it can (i.e. credentials, relay whatever you type, etc.).

IMO there are 2 a few possibilities, a bad one and a good one: (edited: thought of a few more possibilities...)
  - bad one: it installs malware and steals your info, coins, passwords etc
  - still bad one: cloud mining pozi
  - still bad one: shows it mines BTC and asks for deposit before withdraw...
  - good one least bad one: has ads and pays few satoshi per view. Perhaps you would earn $1 worth every few months if you really put your mind to it

The ads option is the only legit one, tho I would assume it's more likely the others
