Sadly that I still has Iphone 8+ when the world is using almost doubled than this model , but I am still proud of using this phone because my battery is still 100% health and not giving me issue since day one (or maybe I just know how to use it properly)

It's actually a good model, and why not if it works well? But do you have enough memory?

I ended up buying an iPhone 15, because the price dropped and there is not much difference from 16.

As soon as it's on sale, I'll buy it right away, I'm obsessed with apple  Grin Tongue

Well I do think you are going to need to wait for along time before you buy your iphone 16.I think when the iphone 17 does come out you can buy your iphone 16 when it is on sale. And it will only be a small sale price off the regular price.

I think we need to wait, maybe there will be various defects and you should not take a new phone. And the price will obviously drop in six months, there is no need to rush.

Well if you did just buy your iphone 15 I do think you can trade that in. They do that cause there is always going to be some people that wants the newest iphone when it does come out.

I do not have the iphone. But I would use this service they have if I did want a new iphone. https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in

Trade in, is that what you mean? This program is not very profitable, you can sell your phone a little more expensive and buy a higher-ranked model.

Yes that is what I do mean. I will rather do a trade in for a expensive phone like that. So there is not a way for me to be scammed from a person that buys it.
Now they are saying iphone 16 with the new ceramic shield can still crack. https://www.macrumors.com/2024/09/23/iphone-16-drop-tests/

As someone who takes lots of photos, I really like the camera controls. Unfortunately, I bought the 15 not too long ago so there's no way I will get the 16 anytime soon. How long does it usually take for apple to drop their prices? Feels like it never happens even when the Pro or even the next model comes out.  Huh

Well now it does look there is not such a big demand for this new phone. The shipping time for the iphone 16 is now less then it was for iphone 15.
I do think apple was thinking more people would want to buy this new phone. But there is not alot of changes for it and the iphone 15.

I think that buy a Apple smartphone have sense if you are a graphic designer or a musician. Buy a Apple smartphone without give it a proffesional use is only vanity.

Hey, guys, a brilliant idea just crossed my mind!

You remember how Apple decided with iPhone 7 that they no longer need headphone jacks, right? With iPhone 12 IIRC, they decided that shipping chargers is no longer required, too.

I guess I can see where it is going. First they removed the jack, then the chargers. The next thing they'll remove will probably be the frontal camera, then the fingerprint sensor and so on...

...and then, to own an iPhone, you will have to build it from scratch. And install Gentoo onboard.

That's great! Though I doubt that an average iPhone owner could install Gentoo, at least they would be able to construct their phone from scratch. Such a strategy may also let Apple cut costs on the manual factory labor they buy in China, which will be good for the US from the geopolitical standpoint since less money will go to China, and for the planet since less manual factory labor means less global warming. Everyone wins! Can't wait until they remove the GSM module from the iPhone 30!

The iPhone 8 is like the iPhone 5, it's a workhorse and the design is great. When I was choosing between 11 and SE, I bought the SE, because I really like the design of the 8th model.
