Don't Jump into conclusions because there is no such thing in the article that says "Apple Will Buy Bitcoin" in a way there is a "MAYBE" but that is far from buying as they are only considering the option.

and Apple? lol it looks like you are talking about Amazon  Grin as they have the same stand since then.

I would be moderately surprised if Apple bought into BTC directly, it seems completely contrary to their corporate ethos.  They seem to follow a highly centralised, highly controlled approach that is just not aligned with Bitcoin.  I can imagine some sort of controlled access to BTC via Apple Pay similar to the PayPal setup but it won't be "real" bitcoin ownership.
perfect catch , Apple is far different from what Bitcoin is all about , centralization vs Decentralization .

There are no official announcements from Apple yet so this is just a rumor. If this really happens bitcoin will easily surpass the $50k price. Bitcoin's been stable now quickly recovers when it goes below $45k so buying at the current price between 45k-47k is a good choice for me. It's already Chinese New Year and the dump I expected did not happen so I guess new ATH will occur very soon.

We can deny that Cryptocurrency changes everything, and people who invest in crypto be better. A big company like apple also sees this fact, so they don't want to miss the chance to join in cryptocurrency.. I sure that so many companies will follow apple's step

Just looking in last 6 months the way institutions have started to buy and showing interest seems that this market could be potentially very big and strong by end of 2021 or by 2022. Bitcoin is growing and those invested just 3-6 months prior are already on huge profits in few months and this lures many institutions as well as they can make money from it even if their other unit might be not making profits.

Warren Buffett has said be greedy when everyone is fearful, be fearful when everyone is greedy.

Warren Buffett? You mean the guy who called Bitcoin "rat poison squared"?

This is one thing that I never understood. Why we Bitcoiners give so much importance to people who hate Bitcoin? Until two weeks back, Warren Buffet was the most talked about billionaire here in Bitcointalk. I could give you the list of dozens of threads in which he is being mentioned. Even more funny is that some of the users are still expecting that he would endorse Bitcoin. And scammers such as Justin Sun have also tried to promote this living fossil.

For my part, I believe that this is one of the failures from our part. We give too much importance to individuals and organizations that are opposed to Bitcoin and we ignore those who stood by us. A perfect example is Patrick M. Byrne of Overstock. He was perhaps the first corporate head to endorse Bitcoin. But there is hardly any mention about him here in this forum, and the last time I heard about him, he was facing a lot of personal and professional issues.

Also, the bitcoin news media outlets that are hyping Apple are insulting their readers’ intelligence. They only want your clicks and your attention.

Everyone who reads business news knows that Apple is looking for a partner automaker to build its Apple car. They would also know that Apple might not go into a partnership without buying an ownership stake of the automaker company. This would imply that Apple will need every dollar in their treasury until a deal is made.
That type of logic that apple has which means they need to own a share of the company if they are going to work with them, is actually quite smart and also a great way to make more money as well. They could straight up buy the car manufacturing company as well if they want to, they are so rich that if they want to they could pay with shares and get some car company, not the biggest ones obviously but a small sized one could be bought up very easily.

This would allow them to both work to build their own car, but also they would be capable of making the profit all for themselves without paying anyone else, everything they work with will be theirs and will be pure profit aside from resources of course. Apple could potentially move towards being more like Samsung, having fridges, washing machines etc, be more household stuff after this, that is like a decade later plan but I feel like apple found a way to grow so much bigger while everyone doubted them to find a growth from here on out.

@JimboToronto. No, I mean the Warren Buffett who has made more than $1 billion from investing. He is certainly wrong about bitcoin, however, he is not wrong on giving that advice. You do not agree that we should be careful? You do not agree that the market will become a bubble?

@snipie. Warren Buffett has said be greedy when everyone is fearful, be fearful when everyone is greedy.

This might be the time to be fearful. Everyone is beginning to act irrationally like there is no bear waiting in the wilderness and ready to pounce when everyone is not ready hehehe.

After news of Tesla investing 1.5 billion USD in bitcoin we are going to hear similar speculations about other top companies, building up a hype.

Yes, that's correct.
They will speculate until it reaches $100k.
$10k for Apple, another $10k when Google invested, and so on and forth.
It's a non-stop imagination that will be created by those rushing the upward spike of bitcoin.
Actually, that may be bad for the market of cryptocurrencies instead of a healthy market.

People will start speculating about manipulation once again.
Once Apple and Google declares just its intentions to invest in bitcoin and you will see the spectacle, I am talking about not less than 10% surge. Now once both companies will buy a large amount then we might start talking seriously about 1mbtc to usd rather than bitcoin Wink

Bitcoin is always king and if Apple shows interest to buy bitcoin, then a lot of people will adopt bitcoin easily. Still there are a lot of country where bitcoin is not legal. People will understand the importance of crypto currency.

Well, it is not about Apple buying bitcoin but a "what if" scenario if the said company buys or add to their stocks crypto currencies. With a lot of companies and corporations trying to get their hands before the huge pump, I guess they will consider it and will start another run to the moon, maybe $100K being the moon this time.

This is misleading, just another click bait article to be honest. Although its not far from the truth, but as of now, we can just speculate. Of course, if they decided to invest it will be another great news for us. But so far it was just Elon Musk and his Tesla as one of the biggest bitcoin investor so far. So we will have to wait and hear it from Apple itself whether they are really into bitcoin investment or not.

As clearly in the message and also done some of my research about this because i heard some of people are talking about it , apple doesn't going to buy bitcoin and they do not have official statement about the that since if they do maybe they just add some payment method it is because some of big companies started it and if they going to invest too then bitcoin will never stop it's bull run and will continue to rise up and many companies nowadays are too optimistic also it is much more better if we do not assume and always wait for their final statement regarding on this kind of topic.

First Paypal, now Apple, soon every other wallet is going to be adding BTC but the question for me will always be, if it's not a real Bitcoin wallet, then why should anyone bother? Paypal I get it, for US people hard to buy Bitcoin but apple users are probably already paypal users, right? Or am I missing something here.

PayPal is a bad example of Crypto adoption but nevertheless it help Bitcoin reach a new height in terms of publicity and noise but when it comes to positive feedback about trading it failed to impress traders and holders, I hope these institutions will not follow PayPal example and let traders have control on their coins.

If Apple is already buying Bitcoin, then the company will be listed on here https://www.coingecko.com/en/public-companies-bitcoin

Since I don't find Apple.Inc on that's site, so Apple still not buy Bitcoin... it's only a rumor.

Probably this is good time to buy Bitcoin, as many people say Buy the rumor sell the news
Do not believe that like it is the bible, they are very behind on their numbers, Grayscale has over 500k+ bitcoins right now and it is not even listed there at all, I think it should be listed a lot earlier and it should have been at the top but it is not. This doesn't mean that Apple bought bitcoins or didn't buy any bitcoins, I do not know about it and I have heard about it just like you did, there was no fact or proof of it but there was a lot of discussions about how they bought some on the side for wealth distribution but that was all I heard as well.

All I am saying is if they didn't buy it, the proof is not that website and if they did buy some it would be expected to be not on that list as well, they are totally fine things. I personally believe that this list is worthless and it would help you see some few minor stuff but not the whole picture.

I am sorry but I couldn't see that from the article you shared so please change the title of your thread as its misleading and kinda clickbait. It's just about speculation what would happen with Apple stocks if they decided to add cryptocurrency services to their wallet and that "Apple could supercharge its move into the crypto industry by buying $1 billion in bitcoin for itself, the analysts said, adding that it could attract more users to its Wallet-based exchange and likely lift bitcoin's price".

After news of Tesla investing 1.5 billion USD in bitcoin we are going to hear similar speculations about other top companies, building up a hype.

Well, only if they the Apple have something big for the community then they might decide to buy some stash of Bitcoin, but, this is not likely to happen based on the information you shared above. The above link show that they are likely going to add crypto services to wallet and not buying bitcoin. Though in every rumor there is truth, hope to see more of their involvement into crypto in future which will help crypto spread like wide fire.

Perhaps, there will be other top companies that will invest in bitcoin in large amounts. Obviously this will build hype after Tesla invested first.
Look to the future what will happen to this speculation, do the companies in the world really want the crypto industry to be bigger or just want the hype they create? I am afraid that this is just their talk so after rising so high they give bad news about crypto which makes everyone panic and throw it away.
