I do not understand you.
Why get paid in BTC is bad?
Is BTC volatile? Yes it is. But it is not so volatile that you could not transfer it to USD for several hours with heavy losses.
I think this is nonsense. If we have agreed on this amount in USD (or any other stable currency) - this is a very easy way to transfer money.

I am not paid with bitcoin for my work, but if that happens then I think there will be a loss if our real work is paid with bitcoin every month because of course the price of bitcoin keeps changing, even though sometimes we can also benefit.

How do your employers buy it?
Have there been scenarios where after they purchased the agreed amount the value increased/decreased substantially before you were paid? If so, how did they react to this?
No I’m not but this is what we’ve been waiting for since i did encourage some of my co employees to invest in crypto so they have idea on hows this going some department heads are being introduced by us to study and take a good looks if this can be possible..we would love to receive cryptocurrency than fiat and as what the last meetings agreed that the studies will continue until it was approved or not.so were looking forward

I can imagine if your regular job pays in crypto though. People probably would be very aware of market movements and would be cashing out with the smallest pumps. People have different financial circumstances so probably that wouldn't work for a big company.

It's pretty awesome, if I'm honest about how I feel. I still consider myself a freelancer, even though the past year I've been generally focusing attentions on a couple of ex clients, they pay me on contract now so it feels more like a salary.

So I haven't actually bought any Bitcoin for a really long time, none in 2018 at any rate, but I suppose earning and then holding as much as possible is just one way of buying. I have a very regular selling schedule, to pay for expenses and bills. I have been converting as many activities as possible to Bitcoin: food delivery every week now, air tickets, online purchases where possible, so trying to minimise selling and just paying directly.

My chief employer buys from Kraken, and there is always an agreed rate on the final day of the month, how much it's worth by the time it hits out wallets isn't important. Of course value's gone up or down and I've been equal parts victor and victim or sudden spikes in value. So has the employer. We're all used to it by now.

Our company does this. Most of my co workers exchange theirs immediately while some who has more budget hodl them

Wow really ? What was the name of the company and which country you are residing ?  thats awesome if others will follow it because i do also want to get paid a crypto whenever i work outside  .   its cool because thats only an indication that our world is now evolving into a new upgraded version were our society will now go cashless .

Convince your company to use a service like Bitwage, or do it yourself and start getting paid in Bitcoin.

If you refer to the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry then I believe everyone is paid in crypto mostly in Eth and Btc. When you have a contract with an employer that is going to pay you in crypto is something of a double-edged sword. You should be in high levels of trust but you deeply know that the employer can make a mistake (on purpose) in order to save them some money.

I believe that escrows are needed in these occasions as well, at least when you are about to end a contract (I was working for an employer that refused to pay me my last salary, even though I provided everything he wanted to close the contract).

I have dealt with individual clients as well as companies and when it comes to overseas payments I insist my clients for making payment in crypto so that I can give an excess discount to them as Crypto is usually 5 to 10% expensive in my country as compared to that of the international market. As I said I have dealt with individual clients as well as companies, few companies have made payment in the form of crypto and I am sure that they must have purchased it from open market as the amount was less as compared to that of their actual turnover. I have dealt with them in a professional capacity so it was kind of fees instead of calling it a salary. However, when it comes to the routine regular payment, they must have some kind of contract with the exchange or an agent to avoid the loss offering from fluctuation in the price.

Not surprising if there are companies pay crypto as employees salary.
I would rather accept this kind of practice than maintaining the cultural payment scenario.
Practice makes perfect. Small progress will be large one day at a time.
In due time crypto salary will be rampant.

I think what you are trying to say is how do employer feel hen they are paid in bitcoin and it is decreasing or increasing in value and his does the employee feel about it, and I think that shouldn't be an issue cos the amount of btc paid will be compare to dollar value and btc volatile can only change in satoshi , eg if the salary is $3000 and 1 btc is $3000 then it goes for $3000 but if btc price is above that then the value in satoshi will reduce and same if less than $3000.

Well, I also want to have been experience this kind of thing, wherein my salary will be paid in crypto. For me, I think it would be much convenient. I would gladly accept that and it be much easier for me to see and manage my salary in a my crypto wallet once it arrives.

Yes i was paid my salary in crypto and mostly i get pay in this forum from signature campaign but in the real life most people does not want their works paid using crypto because most of them still confuse how to convert it and even some of them still consider crypto still not an official currency and only just like trading tools
of course, for everyone who works and do business here, they get their income from crypto. which is a special thing is when you work outside the crypto business. but you receive crypto by salary. actually crypto users want that, but of course the company still can't do that? because it is the authority of your office's financial staff

I will not accept cryptocurrency at the current market situation I will be in a losing situation if I accept cryptocurrency as payment, you could receive less but if you still have the means to support yourself then you can just hodl it and wait for the bull run for a profit.

you know in that case that when a parties agreed for a certain amount and suddenly the person who will send payment will increase or decrease the agreed salary the employee has no control over it be thankful if they pay you whatever the price is.

I think there will be no big problems
If the employer buys the currency before the time of direct payment of salaries.

Unfortunately I do not know this experience
I have never had my salary by using Betkin
Neither of my friends does that
Surely  if that was available to me I was would do
Because that has good chances

Been an employee in the space for a little while, used to get paid in Ethereum and as a rule of thumb, I would always sell everything straight away in order not to be tempted to hodl.
I do the same. You just got lower earning when you do not sell right away because price drop and takes long to recover. I get paid with bitcoin also in this forum which is good but for real job, many do not want to accept it because the price is volatile, they better receive fixed payment.

I was paid only with fiat money, and so far I had never seen a company, or an employer paid the salary of his employees with crypto. and in my opinion an employee will think twice about receiving his salary in the form of crypto.

Doesn't that sort of negate the purpose of receiving your salary in ETH.
I mean sure, it's cool that at least you're raising volume (your employer buys, you sell) but I think it kinda defeats the purpose if you're not keeping at least some of it in ETH.
I got paid in ETH for some gigs as well, I dumped half on kraken to margin trade  Grin
