Bitcoin ATMS are hard to find in many places. However, there are normally Bitcoin ATMs in major cities like London, Paris, Sydney … etc. Sometimes, the ATMs give very good rates. However, I believe that many online exchanges do give better rates. Moreover, Bitcoin ATMs usually have options for straight cash or money transferred to you bank account. However, online exchanges only offer money into your bank account.

I would advise using a Bitcoin ATM for exchanging smaller amounts of BTC and online exchanges for larger sums.

in present time bitcoiin ATM may have  no value. as the users of bitcoin are very low and the those who use bitcoin have easy access to their bitcoin wallet as every one have Internet facilities in their their mobiles. in future may be bitcoin ATM gave provide some facilities to people when the user of bicoin increase.

There was a Bitcoin ATM down the street where I used to live, they used to charge $1,000+ per BTC when the average price was between $490-500

Of course they will charge more. Not worth it unless you want the anonymity.

Cool Shocked Shocked  This fee is ridiculously high, I don't think anyone will use it, this is about 100% fee. It doubles the price of that time, it is double fee. I feel atm it is useless due to the fee.
wow, thias makes Bitcoin ATM so Unworth using the fee is too high enough .i would rather change my bitcoin in a online exchange .whta's the purpose then if that kind of fee is on the ATM, it is worth if they change it to about even 5% fee on every transaction made.

I think depend on countries who the people use bitcoin, ATM will worth using but if on countries with low users of bitcoin it will not be worth using it. Because not all of countries the people use bitcoin.

An exchange would be much better... If you are willing to shop online then you should probably not pay the ATM fees but just use an exchange and do your work where you will save quite a good amount in terms of fees..

ATMs may come in handy but you must expect it to be more expensive.
Because it will be surely made by a private company they won't make something where they cannot have something in return.

Some friends and I are considering using a bitcoin ATM to do some online shopping. Would it be worth using a bitcoin ATM rather than just an internet exchange site?

What are some advantages and disadvantages to both? Any tips or anything I should know ahead of time before using an ATM?

Thanks in advance!
Yeah if you are not sure using bitcoin atm then you can use some exchange website where you can easily change you bitcoin into real money too , but here in my country now we have Bitcoin Panda Atm machine where we can easily exchange our bitcoin into real cash then we cna use it for shopping tho

...

Yes, the BTC ATMs have very high fees.  But, it's take it or leave it.

We are visiting Seattle now, I just used one at the Westlake Mall (downtown, at the end of the monorail), it works.  The machine requires an ID (Driver's License) scan.

There was a guy in front of me who was using it when I got there.

Buy and selling bitcoins at those atms is still very expensive: it's true that it is a quick and fast service but fees are too damn high at the moment. I know people who own them need to gain something from it but unless you are in a hurry I would use them
That's like sue them for making a fast and good service for us and that is matching if they will charge high fees. and too rarely for finding the bitcoin atm in the country and I think in one country just there some am in there.

That's exactly the reason why we wouldn't want to be using BTMs right now. The fees are too damn high.
We know that it's not too popular yet but that doesn't mean that they should have so much fees just to cover for their own expenses (well, that should be a given but still), this gives us the reason to not use them.
I believe there is one where i live, i need to travel something like 3-4 hours to reach it, but i wont use as i can sell or buy bitcoins with a person who is trusted and knowing those atm are charging such fees i wouldnt use them. When i saw the first new about them i thinked it would come with a cheap service, soo all could use them, but until bitcoin achieves mainstream is a sure the big fees will keep.

Absolutely. They are safe and a great way to get fast cash from your bitcoin wallet. Mnay people are hesitant to try them but I assure you, they are very secure. I’ve used one myself in my hometown and it worked perfectly.

For me exchanges are the best way to get bitcoin. ATMs can be handy for people who live abroad and need bitcoin, but with your bank account bitcoin at an exchange is more convenient.

I think bitcoin ATM is very useful if you can find it in your region, but if for online transaction its better to use internet, because it has the track and the prove of the transaction and in internet you have a better security

Here we dont really have that kind of ATM. But we can withdraw it to an ATM from a bank. Good thing the wallet exchange website is connected to every bank and they can easily transfer your money to the bank you want.

Same here but lot of country now a days have a bitcoin atms and  is really nicr but the problem is how do we handle the keep of falling of the price of the bitcoin?  If it is the same with our btc wallet if we send money to other and the price is high also the price is high how ever if its low also its low .  if its like pur currency stayput with the price if we didnt undergo with exchange then its nice
