it's normal that people are very excited, and some times even over excited to the extend of being unrealistic. but at the end we all want the same thing, and that is that bitcoin will succeed as currency, investment, store of value, and also not to forget about the blockchain related features. bitcoin has brought me already so much good. everything more will be seen as a great extra bonus for me.
you are right, im into bitcoins for a really long time right now and to be honest i love when bitcoin price grows even if its just a bubble

Maybe, Bitcoins won't get accepted. Or it is the beginning of the end for Bitcoins. But since we are in a bitcoin oriented forum, we are just echo chambering one another because we love bitcoins and we want to see it rise in value so we can profit?

Just playing the devil's advocate.  Grin
it's seem like ponzi scheme, for me bitcoin will be rise and im sure it, the fact about bitcoin addoption, bitcoin hashrate, bitcoin transaction is real not  a fake grapich, so if people in this forum says bitcoin will be rise, it's right not only a bullshit like you think.

I'm ok with Bitcoin not going to make it to mainstream, I feel like there will be a downside of this if Bitcoin made it to mainstream we just dont know yet the impact if there will be a lot of people holding them and a lot of merchants accepting them, but for now lets just enjoy our earnings when the rate of Bitcoin fluctuates from time to time.

No idea about the opening question but as for being in their own bubble, without a shadow of a doubt. Objectivity is not a strong point of anyone here and confirmation bias oozes from every pore.

Your question is very good. I was thinking on this from time to time too (I am quite a pessimistic person from time to time...).
I've seen quite a lot of educated people that reject Bitcoin from start, like they'd be some in-game coins with no use and no value.
The governments clearly don't like Bitcoin (if they understand it at all), since it cannot inflated/deflated in the way they do with local currencies.

But I've seen some hope. Banks and businesses started to study how to use the blockchain. The real world use should keep the blockchain and Bitcoin alive and with a great value. But it depends on the scale of this use on long term...

In fact BTC users group is not so small in the Web, but among all FIAT users this group is small. In further development BTC can not be developed in the shops, because main Blockchain wallet now have transfer times more than 20 minutes. But in making profit BTC is good, of course, just see, what happened this summer in June and July.  Grin

The transfer time that you quote is a problem. There is no consensus among developers about increasing the blocksize, but they have recognized that it is a bottleneck. June and July may have been good months for Bitcoin's price, but we all know that the price can crash just as easily.

There is so much community support behind bitcoin and many love to keep using bitcoin, it has created a lots of buzz recently and now getting accepted by many big stores, companies so i don't think this year is end of bitcoin and even after decades in future bitcoin will be alive with greater price than of now.

I have the same thought, who start to use bitcoin will always love this coin, simple, fast, safe... I think the bitcoin will expend more and more.

Well, I think bitcoin only will fail if it's goes hacked(I'm not talking about exchanges) or something like that, otherwise is just up/down the price...

I don't care if bitcoin is not accepted in supermarket malls and other establishment but hey the most important thing is we can convert it to fiat currency. When we convert it to fiat currency then we can buy the things we want in any stores or Establishment. So as long as someone is buying and selling bitcoin the end is very far away. People are not just ready to accept bitcoins as an exchange to their goods except for online merchants but time will come that we can be there.

bitcoin's popularity  don't need any explanation and proof. if you think bitcoin is not accepted in many places then I believe it is those peoples stupidity who didn't realized importance of bitcoin yet.
but instead of them bitcoin still have a huge amount of users and still growing with the speed of rocket(its price is not increasing doen't mean no one starting using bitcoin)

Now e cannot think for the end of bitcoin, it is the start of bitcoin that is why you are seeing lesser people with it, and it will sooner establish all over the world and then you will see the lover of bitcoin in your streets, By the way try to tell someone in your street about bitcoin and this forum, then check that he start to love it or not. We just need to promote it.
Yes. if we promote Bitcoin in positive way, people will surely love to use it. bitcoin have lots of inspiring things which are enough for someone to bring him that world.

Yes they are. I used to get jelly when i see a huge pump in prices but now i really don't care about it anymore. Because, just like a pump, a dump always can happen. I realized that bitcoin is not a stable currency and i could lose my savings at any time. Most people think like me even if they know the existence of Bitcoin.

Even if bitcoin don't get accepted anywhere in the world in bigger places it would always stay here on internet and we would always be loving it like we do now because it is a source of income for all of us and it is also an investment for most of us as we invest our money and get profit with that.

True, if its not accepted in some countries or place then normally it would  stay here  in internet world but it doesnt mean it would die  but its better if  bitcoin  would be adopted so that  it would also increase its price because  if  its adoption would be slow then its also affects the price.

Looks to me that OP is such an overthinker. Just like how other people claimed the "end of the world", OP's starting to think of the "end of bitcoin". If people don't accept Bitcoins, then let them do what they want. They don't want to embrace change or maybe they are just too afraid to try something that they don't fully understand.

And yes, everyone who has his stash filled is now ready for the rise of Bitcoin to get their profit. And those who haven't filled up their stash and are still waiting for a lower price will not be so happy if the Bitcoin price rise instead.

Yeah i get your point but i think the amount that comes from outside of the bitcoin community is enough to think this is a winner.  to be honest i have invested in bitcoin to the point that even if it collapse i lose abit but not enough to break the bank, but if it comes off i stand to make a fortune, remember the saying, only invest the amount you can afford to lose.

Maybe? It's always good to see the other side of the coin and not get overconfident and cocky about the future of a very volatile and almost sketchy resource, but at the same time there are a lot of things moving in favour of Bitcoin right now and it isn't entirely unlikely to see some big things happening. Are we an echo chamber? Yes, just like everywhere else. Do we all want to see a rise in value so we can have more money? Yes.

Personally unless the echo chamber becomes dangerously extreme, I don't think there is an issue with it for the most part.
