In a way, yes we're already living in a virtual world. For one, we have what we call cryptocurrency, which is a digital currency. Second, we have photos and videos, which we allow us immortality in some way. Now if you're talking about full-on living in the virtual world with our consciousness uploaded into the simulation, then the answer is definitely no, but I'm hopeful it will happen someday. Don't know when though.

I don't think we are, if you mean like in a Matrix kind of way. We somehow already live "virtually" though since we are already spending majority of our lives online. I am sure that I am not the only one who has my smartphone data on which sends me notifications on whatever update that happens on my social media or forums that I am following, or news.

Not yet, but we're heading there. Have you ever heard of the Virternity project? It's a project that was recently released and it aims to achieve digital immortality. With this, we could finally live in the virtual world. Cool, isn't it?

I think we’re still on our way to actually having a virtual world. Our life right now couldn’t be VR. It’s too flawed and imperfect. I mean, if someone were to design a virtual world, it should be close to perfect, right? I think with all the progress of VR, AR and even AI, I think it’s highly possible to live in a virtual world. I heard it could be life-changing too. Do you think this will be our saving grace amidst all this current political and environmental turmoil?

I think yes. If desired, a person can get a job to work only on a computer from home, buy on the Internet, you can also communicate in the Internet. Therefore, we are already very close to this.

I don't think so, otherwise it would be easier to live in such virtual world.

Yes, I imagined it probably would be easier to live in a virtual world. I do not know how that would go and what it would be like but it will probably be fun. Perhaps it could even coexist with our real, physical self someday.

They say that someday we might have a chance to live in the virtual world, coexisting with our physical bodies. But with the existence of virtual currency such as crypto, and other technological advances like VR, Artificial Intelligence or Augmented Reality, do you think it is possible we are already living in the virtual world?
