Gotta love the speculation section. And the hope for huge crashes.

Anyhow, I say it's very unlikely that we'll see $500. But hell, you never know. We've already got 3-4 price sinking stories. Maybe a few more and who knows...

I'll double my position tonight if it goes to 500. Already made the order.

And if it goes to $900?

I thought about taking profit in the $700's, but I think I'm just going to hodl and buy a little more as it is cheap, or gets cheaper.  It's a long term investment for me (I think there may be CRAZY upside to it) and I really don't see good enough reasons to jump ship.  Also, my investments are somewhat diverse, so no matter how much BTC falls it really won't hurt me.

ok.. so you think it is going to $5000..  that's fine..  but do you think it is going to go from $800 to $5000 overnight?

Everyone seems conditioned that that crazy pace from Nov was the norm..   it ain't going to fly like that anymore.  Once enough coins get in circulation (less whales left to dump on price) and price bottoms out a bit, then it will be a slow climb up..  plenty of time to get back in even before $1000

I hate it when people say that. You want BTC to die so you can buy more, but what's the point? Yea $300 doesn't mean BTC is dead but that's a hell of a crash, it will hurt its reputation as a storage of wealth and keep people away form investing.

Only nutters think that Bitcoin is a store of wealth. To most sane people it is a high risk investment and a means of quickly transferring value around the world and by-passing fiscal restraints on the movement of capital.

Even at 300, its 1y % gain is still ridiculously high.

Yeah maybe for you, and all the super early adopters... but too bad that mindset is discouraging most people from getting involved

Lets hope so, I would love to buy coins at $300 a piece!

When Bitcoins were $1100, I used to think how much I would love to buy $800 Bitcoins once again.

I have had plenty chance to go long with $800 Bitcoins in recent times, but somehow it just didn't seem so appealing any more.

I think it is likely that if Bitcoins trend as low as $300, the buyers' psychology will have changed, a lot!

It isn't falling that quick. At least not in Bitcoin terms. If things playout in a text book fashion Bitcoin will find support at around $720 and the new resistance will be $765. It will take a lot of selling pressure to push Bitcoin below the low $700 range support which doesn't mean that it won't happen, just that failing some kind of 'event', I wouldn't place my money on it happening 'all of a sudden' and certainly not tonight.

Not tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 700 or maybe 600. But more than that and it would be the biggest drop ever.
